But Angelica Houston has to be cast as Madame Maxime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Besides it's a French character and she speaks fluent French so who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say send the producers a copy of Addams Family and Ever After and they'll see no one else can be Madame Maxime!!!!!!

I think the mandate is only on British characters, not foreign characters.

Joe, who thinks Patrick Stewart must be cast as Voldemort. Filming begins in 2 and 1/2 months.

Principal stuff starts, the kids probably wont be needed for a while no?

OK, what are the new characters again, who are we wanting to be cast in it?

the film is scheduled for a Nov. 2005 release. POA has just about completed it principle photography.

You got to crank them out while these kids are still kids.

Maxime, Moody, Karkaroff, Fleur, Krum, Rita Skeeter, etc . . . I want Anthony Hopkins as Moody, and I agree with you about Huston as Maxime.

Schell would be good, but I always saw Karkaroff as sort of skeletal. A younger Bela Lugosi would be the perfect Karkaroff. (and while we're dreaming...)

How about W.C. Fields as Filch? a bit too likable, but a great drunken presence.

I would also love john Houseman as Fudge, Alec Guiness as Dumbledore and Peter Lorre as Moody.

(Back to reality)

I still feel that David Warner would have made the perfect Snape.

Why can't Patrick Stewart play Mad Eye Moody?

Rita Skeeter........ Who was saying something about that a while ago?..... I think it was about Miranda Richardson playing her?

Karkarov............ Ralph Fienes maybe?

Fleur......... Kiera Knightly, what's her name from Bend it Like Bekham and Pirates of the Caribean... Is she too old? Or should it be someone more waify.....

And of course Angelica Houston as Madame Maxime!!!

These are all great ideas for actors. Joe is right. I think the only mandate is for the British characters not the foreign characters.

P. S. Ideas for Fleur?

Ah yes, that was me. :music:

Marian - who had completely forgotten about that.

Ralph Fienes is not THAT big an actor, and to be in a film with even bigger names like Maggie Smith, Richard Harris, Michael Gambon, John Cleese, Emma Thompson, Kenneth Branagh....... It has nothing to do with the role, it's being a part of these great bunch of actors.

Cleese was great. But putting him in the movie just so we see him, with any relevance of his character completely removed, was indeed unnecessary.

P. S. Ideas for Fleur?

Emma Watson! LOL Oh, she's already playing Hermione...

But seriously, Vanessa Paradis could have been a nice Fleur, but the movie comes several years too late for that I guess.

Marian - who can't think of anyone else.

Wait, Fleur is French so it won't be a British actor... So we need to find out some French young actresses that fit the part, and that sounds like a casting call to me...

Cho was cast already I think in POA.

Yes Nathan Lane is American, and his British accent leaves a lot to be desired, although on the same acount he is a fantastic actor.

Neil, I agree with you, that is why I think Angelica Houston should be Madame Maxime.

However, they seem to want the cast to be the same ethnicity as the characters....

hhhmmmm... let's see... The British Coupling is fantastic, and they just tried to do an American version and oh, hhhmmm, it lasted 4 episodes....

IE: It wouldn't work, the charm in it is the British supporting cast. ENglish actors, not matter how huge they are in England do stuff like this, here you wouldn't get the same thing, plus, it's so British, how could you do an American version of it!!!!???????????

However, I thik they should go with the best man fopr the job when it comes to casting, rather than go, we want just British..... Many Americans do incredible British accents, why not have them in the roles if they are good in them?!

Geoffrey Rush as Moody. I dunno why, I always pictured Moody kinda like Long John Silver..wooden leg, scared face, overwheight.

Nathan Lane would be great as Ludo.

I read in a site somewhere that Cedric has been cast.

BUt the acting thus far on the Hp movies has been perfect, so I have no reasons to fear. And Jk Rowling has her say in all casting decisions.

I can't wait for the teaser trailer. I wish the Williams would write a new trailer since he hasn't been doing any films, and I mean, really, how long did it take him to write a bloody silly little horn concerto and Soundings, 2 weeks? OK, I'm kidding....

After seeing Maid in Manhanttan, I could see Miranda as Rita.

Kiera was both in Beckham and Pirates. She looks old (maybe due to her makeup, clothes) but I was amazed that she's 18 or so.

Monica Bellucci

Yes!!! I wish she had been in more of Matrix Revolutions, she and the Merovingian were the highlights of the second film, though for very different reasons. ;)
