Ollie 859
Turner Classic Movies had Jerry Goldsmith on Sunday night with Robert Osborne hosting 3 films; Superman, The Magnificent Seven and The Wind & The Lion. I didn't stay up to watch the third film but I did watch the intro's to the the first two films. Jerry had praise for Williams score, when asked what moment stood out musically and visually he mentioned the flying sequence.
Lurker 5
Jerry had praise for Williams score, when asked what moment stood out musically and visually he mentioned the flying sequence.Yes, Jerry described that section as being "lyrical", which is pretty funny, since that music does have lyrics. I recorded all of the intros. And for those interested, it was the original 143 minute cut of Superman shown with the ridiculous new sound mix. 8ONeil - who loves the new picture transfer but hates the revised sound mix
