Sandor 459
The topic title is a little awkward, I know... But anyway; I just the bought the PoA CD in a Dutch music store (confusingly for foreigners called The Free Record Store...), but the guy behind the counter made a real fuss about it. For some reason this fellow knew that today is not the official release date (in Holland). He said that's tomorrow. So I begged him to make an exception for me (wich was pretty lame, since I hardly buy CD's anymore). Still I convinced him when I said I came all the way from Friesland (a Dutch province many miles (from a Dutchie perspective) from my hometown)). The guy felt sorry and sold me the CD!!! Ofcourse I was already very familiar with the music from the streamed AOL "release", but I love looking at the original package. The design is much closer to CoS than SS. By the way; this is one of the best scores since Schindler's List and deserved all but praise. I love it. So all you Dutchies on this board: go out and kiss some ass!!!! Bye, Roald
Audax 0
Tsssss, when I asked they didn't want to sell it because of some stupid embargo. O well, I'll just have to wait untill tomorrow

Oskar 70
Confound it!I just went to the Free Record Shop this day, and they told me that indeed, the release date is tomorrow. It did not occur to me that kissing ass was a good way of getting the cd early. Allthough I would have to come up with a different excuse than yours Roald, since Friesland is not so far removed from my hometown.I bought the 2 disc brand new Citizen Kane DVD instead, so that will have to keep me company until tomorrow arrives Oskar - who also has his English final tomorrow
MadFrenchBird 0
*pops in*So what you peeps are saying is that the soundtrack really will be coming out tomorrow - because I've tried three times this week to get it but I was unsuccessful. Today when I went to try and buy it the guy behind the counter (yes, a FRS) told me that they would have it by noon - so when I tried again later it was another guy, and he tells me that it's not out yet *rolleyes*I swear I just wanted to smash the guy's face on the counter.Should I try again on Saturday? FrankV 168
*pops in*So what you peeps are saying is that the soundtrack really will be coming out tomorrowI just bought the CD at Free Record Shop for 19,99 Euros.
The Prick vs The DD 0
On the internet you can buy this album for 18 euro in stead of 20 at the FRS. I think I'm gonna do this, but I'm gonna check Media Markt first.
The Prick vs The DD 0
Media Markt doesn't have the CD yet, but when they will next week (so they say), it will be 17,99. So, being a true Dutchman, I'm gonna wait.
The Prick vs The DD 0
Now that we've opened such a thread: Media Markt also has Return of the King DVD for 19,90. Not really spectacular. Also at V&D and Media Markt, they have the cheapest Lord of the Rings Trilogy Box (6 DVD's) at 70 euro. Though I think that's still expensive.Once again, I'm gonna wait, especially for the 4DVD release. One more thing, often with Media Markt,, after the initial release, but usually within two weeks, they offer the same stuff at a discount. So Return of the King could become cheaper there within two weeks, month tops.
