Do you hear sighs of despair every time you pull out a JW c.d. to play it?

Would your Wife/Girlfriend rather you download Internet Porn rather than waste time at the JW fan.Net.

Are you tired of beeing called obsessive?

Has turning on the car stereo become grounds for a major battle?

K.M.

Not at the moment, thought she has not been exposed to Williams, or film music very much yet.

But of course if she grows tired of it and demands that I give up my collection i'll be offering it on eBay that very same day. 8O

She won't though....

not a problem here. my biggest problem is having my boyfriend understand that none of you are out to get me.

Well, I've always been a private JW listener, so It's not much of an issue. She mainly goes around making observations a five year old would make, like we were watching E.T., and she heard the fanfare at the very end and said, 'of course this is John Williams, that sounds just like Indiana Jones'. We're working on it though.

My girlfriend has been really understanding about my strange, obsessive hobby. Not only does she put up with me spending a damnable amount of money on cd's, but she'll even attend the John Williams concerts just because it's something that I enjoy.

Of course in order to be fair, I have to watch all of her Elvis films and attend the shows put on by her favorite Elvis impersonator.

But it's all worth it.

The greatest challenge, however, is listening to the cd's in the car. She gives up after a few sarcastic comments made in fun like "I don't understand how you can listen to this" or "Here we are in the movies again...". We listened, or rather I listened, to "Deep Impact" in the car on the way home from Massachussets last weekend. After several minutes, she put her headphones on. An hour later, when she was done listening to her music, she was amazed that the cd was still playing "God, dosen't this ever end". It made me chuckle, because it is a long cd.

However, when Williams' music comes on... she is a little more quiet and understanding.

Nope, and I'm pretty sure she rather have me reading the last news on Williams than browesing for porn!

whats to stop you from doing both. 8O

Nothing and I mean nothing annoys me more than somebody pretending like they've got JW figured out when they don't have the first clue.

All the women I've dated have actually been happy I am more interested in cultured musical genres rather than some garbage like hip hop so the answer would be no.

First lets find her, and then we will speak.

Luke, single (*wink*, though this will not work on these boards...)

But i hope to find one that at least can stand it...

Luke, who does not know ANYONE who likes film scores.... :)

Emily likes it. Then again she likes all kinds of music. But she's really excited to go to pops concerts.

My wife is indifferent. She doesn't mind if I play it in the car here and there and she also doesn't mind going to JW/film music concerts with me. For the concert next year in DC (which I'm thinking of going to) where he doesn't appear to be playing any film music, she said she won't mind going with me... she'll just bring a book!

Another example of her indifference... we're pretty big Potter fans and when she asked me how I liked the new POA score my three word response of "I like it" more than sufficed for her.

What's a wife?

What's a wife? It is when sex stops being a hobby and gets filed alongside usual everyday chores.

Actually it's more like when sex quits being a spontaneous fun act and becomes a weekly household chore..... ;)

It's still all good though..... ;)

I think I must have mentioned it once or twice, but we actually have other stuff to talk about. She does associate the name of John Williams to me and all, but she is more concerned about me liking musicals.

Hmmmm seems sad so few women appreciate Williams' work. However, I've always believed men generally have better taste in music.

You dont see a bunch of guys out there supporting stuff like N' Sync do you? ;)

I guess I should post that my ex-girlfriend was fine with JW. We usually listened to it in the car, though this was at the time when I was starting out so I mostly listened to main themes on the Greatest Hits. Being accepting of this hobby/interest is one of the main qualities I would want my girlfriend or wife to have.

That is my age. I must be blessed with....seomthing. IMHO, Singleness sucks. Nothing beats getting drunk with a girlfriend who's totaly up for it.

Masturbation has not yet gotten to Europe. I'm sure Stefan could confirm that he has no knowledge as to the meaning of that word.
