Yoda Longbottom 0
Well,I said that too...Phil's Theme..yeah,Phil is Born.K.M.Who never thought Williams would re-visit heartbeeps..then again why not,it's probably his least heard score........----->------>.....and so good nonetheless. I said it before thast I like this music on Heartbeeps very much and it is a great counterpart to Williams' high-quality symphonic stuff. This is my big favorite alongwith "smaller" scores like "Accidental Tourist". I think Heartbeeps is truly an exceptional feat in JW's output. King Mark 2,924
I predict "Navorsky's Escape" will be the best cue of the score...but it's not on the c.d.K.M.
AC1 3,565
Of course, the clip is too short but I'll also make a careful prediction: The Fountain Scene = Am I Beautiful? All in all, I think much of the music is very reminiscent of his past compositions. ----------------Alex Cremers
Morlock 9
Zimmer's As Good As It Gets is as blatant rip-off of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto that's it's even tragic. Is the Therminal score so blatantly unoriginal, Morlock? What can I say, it reminded me of it, there are similarities. All in all, I think much of the music is very reminiscent of his past compositions. I agree. Never the less, I am impressed.
Rogue_Leader 2
These Terminal clips are unfortunately verifying my worst fears about this one. Another bland Williams score.
AC1 3,565
Well Rogue, the music has to fit the project of course. Anyhoo, after his long break I really hoped that somehow we would get a Williams that sounded like a less familiar Williams, I was hoping for a surprising and fresh Williams. That doesn't seem to be the case. But heck, I'm buying this sucker as soon as it is available. ----------------Alex Cremers
Rogue_Leader 2
Man this was a total waste of Williams' effort IMO. Williams really didn't need to waste his time scoring this movie. For once John should've told Steven to find someone else.
AC1 3,565
NOOOO! Spielberg should've said, "Give me something new and surprising, John! I'm not making Stepmom, you know!"----------------Alex Cremers
AC1 3,565
Strange but, "Desting"..."Canneloni"...And Tale Of Viktor Navorski could be a happy moment on.... .Schindler's List. Hey, this music is getting fresher by the minute.
AC1 3,565
I'm starting to fall in love with the second part of "Gupta's Deliverance" too. If the movie is any good, this theme should be very effective in the "warm feelings" department. "Jazz Autographs" is the piano rendition of the same theme.----------------Alex Cremers

Morlock 9
NOOOO! Spielberg should've said, "Give me something new and surprising, John! I'm not making Stepmom, you know!" Stepmom had a very good score.
HPFAN_2 0
I thought it was boring, but i'm not going to pass judgement on the entire album based on some clips.Ha! **puts a space between his teeth, becomes the governor of CA, goes on Conan as a pic on a TV screen** "You ahh boring, Con-an! You vill be termeenated! AHHH!!!" Seriously...how old are you? The Terminal is not boring, Poindexter. It's got guts, compassion, elbow grease and something you're sadly lacking in, son--maturity! So what if it doesn't sound like Star Wars or Harry Potter? Doesn't mean it's boring or any less of a great score. To throw in another Schwarzenegger-related quote, "Open your mind...open your miiiinddd..."You can't be serious!

King Mark 2,924
Looks like this one if for Roald,Hlao-Roo,Peio and the rest of those who put Stepmom or Sabrina in their Top 5 of all time. K.M.Who thinks this sounds very Williams 90's ish
Mari 279
Thank you K.M. for your detailed analysis! I referred back to it several times as I was listening to the clips. I especially agree with the "happier" Schindler's List sound of the ethnic music and the jazzy Catch Me If You Can similarities. For me, "A Legend Is Born" is the track I'm really looking forward to hearing in it's full form. Romão 1,931
Well, I love the themes of the first 2 tracks. It's not a revolutionary score, but I'm sure this will be indeed a feel-good listen as Spielberg claims. And it probably suits the film woderfully (as always). You can't except Buckbeakc's flight in this kind of movie.

King Mark 2,924
I think Heartbeeps is truly an exceptional feat in JW's output.I'm listening to it right now,it was composed somewhere between ESB,Raiders and E.T.What's amazing is Williams ability in that period to write so much SUSTAINED great music with themes flowing in and out of each other at every moment for the entire score and coming up with amazing variations one after the other.I just wish it was all orchestral..K.M. Sandor 459
Looks like this one if for Roald,Hlao-Roo,Peio and the rest of those who put Stepmom or Sabrina in their Top 5 of all timeHmmm.... Where did you get that impression from? 8O Although I can appreciate certain tracks on the soundtracks you mentioned they are certainly not among my favorites. They wouldn't even make it in my top 30 JW scores. My top 10 would be:1 Star Wars2 Schindler's List3 E.T.4 Raiders Of The Lost Ark5 The Empire Strikes Back6 Superman The Movie7 Born On The Fourth Of July8 Jurassic Park9 Close Encounters Of The Third Kind10 HookI don't see Stepmom, Sabrina or The Terminal anywhere near those scores. Rogue_Leader 2
I am probably gonna pass on this one. Looks like a dud. Real shame too! After the long wait through 2003 when there were no friggin score releases I was hoping for some real meat in 2004. Sadly it looks like it will be just POA this year. Unless John does something else. Rogue_Leader 2
I have listened to em. I dunno maybe you have to listen to this stuff as a whole track but honestly this is kind of like Saving Private Ryan. Ny that I mean this is another good score for the movie, but a not-so-great score for owning. Not to mention this score doesn't even have a Hymn To The Fallen like that score did to make up for it. I'll give the tracks another listen. I guess I was hoping for something more than this.
