Goldsmithfan 3
Anybody else read this? http://imdb.com/title/tt0377124/ It looks suspiciously like RoboCop 4 might in early pre-production. It's even got Ed Neumier and Michael Miner listed as the writers of the characters. Cameron's even working with Frank Miller (RoboCop 2) but I think that Cameron's sense of reality might straighten out Miller's lack of that sense. I hope it's RoboCop 4. Well, as long as Cameron doesn't back out. It should at least have a good score. Poledouris is signed on.
Guest
That actually sounds neat. It's like another Terminator, but not quite. When I saw the AVP trailer the other day, I was actually half-way sold on it, just because it was good to see Aliens and Predators again. Now RoboCop. If this keeps up...maybe we'll get Rambo 4. I certainly wouldn't mind hearing a new Goldsmith Rambo score...
Morlock 9
Without the slightest plot description I see no reason it would be RoboCop 4. And irreleveant of what you thought of Cameron's previous projects, that WOULD be below the man who made the most profitable movie ever. Anyway, I thought he was gonna do Alien 5? Peio 0
Hehe, James Cameron confirmed (a couple of months ago) his next movie will be "Battle Angel Alita", and will be shot in 3D. The early tests of the main character (fully developed in CGI) have shown it will be the best digital character ever done (better than Gollum). Rogue_Leader 2
Here is the James Cameron project I am looking forward to:Unmade James Cameron ProjectSeriously though I have to wonder if this guy still has greatness left in him. This man has become like the 2nd Lucas.
Morlock 9
Well, I don't know if it's greatness in him. A few movies, he was just born to make.

Not to mention the fact that Poledouris has signed on. Sounds like RoboCop 4 to me. What makes you think it would be below Cameron anyway? The first RoboCop is probably one of the greatest action films ever made. I'm sure he can do a great job with this. And as far as Alien 5, he's writing but not directing. Morlock 9
Sorry, I missed the characters credit. A Fifth sequel is below anyone. And it is very unclear who's doing what on Alien 5. For a while it was Scott directing and Cameron producing, then it was the other way around, then it was Cameron just writing, then it was Cameron writing/ directing. Goldsmithfan 3
Yeah, it's almost impossible to tell what's happening on a film until it's officially announced or in production. I've only heard about Cameron writing and Scott considering directing. I hope Cameron directs though. I love his directing and he won't use Media Ventures. AC1 3,565
I wonder if these two guys could actually get along together. A long time ago Cameron went to Scott with this script he had worked on. It was a sequel to Alien (Aliens). Cameron was an big Alien fan and was pretty excited to show his work to Ridley. Scott said immediately "no", just like that, without even reading the script. Cameron shuffled out of the studio with his head bent downwards, his shoulders drooping. Once outside the studio he fell on his knees, aimed his white fist to the sky and cried out to the heavens that this was not over yet. The rest is history.----------------Alex Cremers
Rogue_Leader 2
Cameron really needs to get off his Titanic obsession. Dude, get over it already! After 9/11 among other disasters the Titanic doesn't even seem like such a big deal anymore.
Morlock 9
Well, it must be pretty depressing. He's probably saying "If I'd just kept 1 percent.....or half a percent....or a enth of a percent......"
Guest
I wonder if Cameron would use Horner for Alien 5? You've got the nightmare-come-to-life experience of Aliens (plus Oscar nom), but the Oscar nab of Titanic and the making of James Horner into a household name (if ya don't believe me, just look at all the P2P programs where you can't find anything but Titanic by Horner). Morlock 9
Don't remind me. Morlock- who once came across Binary Sunset by James Horner.
