Has anyone done the soundtrack for Thunderbirds (2004)? I know for certain that track 9: Tracy Island goes between tracks 12 and 13, while track 10: Junior Mission is between 14 and 15. I'm also near certain that some tracks consist of multiple cues combined, but I'm struggling to figure out any actual placements for certain.

I also strongly recommend subbing back in the original alternates, tracks 29-31, for tracks 18-20. Feels much more of a piece with the rest of the score and is some really good stuff.

Even though I’m aware of how wonky the state of the album that was released is and that according to Lorne Balfe, there’s a special edition on the horizon with more of the score present and less of an emphasis on the pop songs and other non-film score music, has anyone managed to figure out the chronological order of the tracks (which, I’m assuming are mostly suites) on the Top Gun Maverick score yet? This can include the non-score pieces of popular music as well, it really doesn’t matter to me either way.

Has anybody a managed to figure out the chronological track listing of the Stranger Things season 4 score yet? Also, it appears some key tracks are……..I don’t want to say missing, because they might not have been entirely compose by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein…….but, they’re not present on the commercially released version of the score. Most notably the grand and dramatic, orchestral arrangement of the Stranger Things theme that plays right before the end credits of the final episode. I’ve heard that particular rendition was arranged and adapted by Rob Simonsen, rather than Dixon and Stein.

@CrimsonRain96 I am working on it. Getting very close to done. I'm sure someone else may beat me to it, but we'll see.

Yes everyone is after the orchestral score cues arranged by Rob Simonsen. All of them were done by him. I gather they will be released separately somehow at a later time.

I have 2 very well mapped out. 3 is iffy. Haven’t gone back and done 1 though, but I’ve seen other lists. I could build off those.

Should be posting 4 shortly.

Update on Stranger Things 4, doing one final pass. I will just say that several of the track titles are not at all accurate, so I'm having to dig through and place a few more by ear that I didn't get the first time around.

I plan on having three lists:

  • Score album in order.
  • Score + Soundtrack in order.
  • All released music I can track down in order.

I know it’s a little early (the movie is supposed open up for it’s early showings at 7:00 here in about a little less than 2 hours) here in the U.S. But I’m seeing a fairly large amount of people online who have seemingly seen the movie already. So, if any of those people who have already seen the movie are here, is the score in proper chronological order? As per usual with Giacchino’s stuff, I assume it already is in chronological order, but on certain rare occasions, he’ll release certain tracks in a rather unorthodox order. Plus, with the way the music on here is structured, some of the placement of certain cues is a bit odd for a typical marvel film (such as the placement of what feels like a suite as the first track and there being little in the way of traditional climactic battle music towards the end of the score). If no one here has seen it yet, that’s fine. Just ignore this until you've actually seen it. But if anyone here has seen it already, I’d really appreciate the assistance.

Still no Thor Love and Thunder?

From what I can tell the album is chronological. Giacchino's score are almost always chronological so I think this one is as well.

  • Mama's Got A Brand New Hammer is a suite and some parts are used during the film. But I think it plays best at the beginning.
  • I don't know where Distressed Out, The Ax Games, Thorring To New Heights, Show Intel, We're Not Emos We're Gods & I Was In The Pool! play in the film. Some of these might be alternates.
  • The tracks not mentioned above are definitely in chronological order.

Hope this at least helps a bit.

I'll try and really do a breakdown when the film is release digitally.

Looking at the only tracklist for the recording sessions I was able to find, it doesn't appear that the slate numbers are included.

image.png

For what it's worth, did I find a cue list here, but most of the slate numbers have no corresponding titles:

I will say right off the bat that this was the result of a very cursory search and it's entirely possible that I overlooked something in the process.

Okay, so I have some questions about the Rings of Power score…….obviously, the first being on the soundtrack album that was released back in August ahead of the series itself and the individual episode soundtracks as each episodes premiered week to week. Of course I’d like to know the chronological order of the tracks that aren’t suites (which seem to makeup about like 40% of the material on the initial album). I’m aware of the individual episode albums most likely having everything in chronological order, but I’m asking more so to figure out what is and isn’t a suite or a bonus track that might not have been featured in an episode on that initial first soundtrack album, since the actual tracks consisting of music as it’s played in the show on that album are edited and condensed compared to their more extensive versions on the individual soundtrack albums for each episode. I guess this will help me with making playlists  insisting of these edited down versions from the first soundtrack for a more “streamlined listening experience”, if that makes sense. Sorry if this is a bit of a confusing post, and sorry if maybe this isn’t exactly the specific message board I should be posting it on. I’m not really aware of another place I could post it, if there is a more appropriate one for these sorts of questions/posts. If you want me to elaborate any further for more clarity, just feel free to ask me and I’ll gladly do so. As always, any help you guys could provide me in figuring this out would be greatly appreciated.

I would love to help, but I'm not really sure what you asking.

Do you want the Season 1 album in chronological order without the theme suites?

Or do you want the episodic albums chronological (they're not 100%. Bear has edited the first few albums for more streamlined listening experience. If you want this in the right order that would take not just more time to figure out but also the cut.)

You should go to the Tolkien thread. There are multiple thread where people have broken down the season 1 album.

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure either on what you're asking, and in the various posts on the Tolkien thread this has already been discused, but I will leave here my spreadsheet with how each track of the episode albums corresponds to the original release album, in case anyone needs it.

Chronological / OST vs Episode Score

The first thing to know is that the tracks that are proper underscore in the initial album release are usually made out of different cues from the same episode, and sometimes even from different episodes (like The Secret of the Mountain or The Mystics, for example), but if you take out all the suites, its mostly a chronological listening experience of the whole season. Removing the theme suites, it would end up being something like this:

Spoiler

09 In the Beginning

15 The Boat

16 Sundering Seas

17 Nobody Goes Off Trail

20 The Secrets of the Mountain (This cue is made out of three different sections. One of them is from episode 2, and the rest from episode 4, but one plays before A Plea to the Rocks, and the other one, after)

23 A Plea to the Rocks

19 White Leaves

24 This Wandering Day

25 Scherzo for Violin and Swords

26 Sailing Into Dawn

Find the Light (Amazon Music Exclusive)

27 For the Southlands

28 Cavalry

21 Nolwa Mathar (A shortened version of this track plays right after Cavalry, and the complete version plays over the credits of episode 6)

The Promised King (Amazon Music Exclusive)

29 Water and Flame

30 In The Mines (Made out of different sections that play through episode 7)

31 The Veil of Smoke

22 Nampat (It's a concert suite of Adar's theme, but it also plays over the end credits of episode 7)

33 Perilous Whisperings

32 The Mystics (Different sections of the Mystic material play in previous episodes, but most of the track plays in episode 8)

34 The Broken Line

35 Wise One

36 True Creation Requires Sacrifice

Where the Shadows Lie (feat. Fiona Apple)

The answer you seek is in the dedicated thread for the score, of course:

Oh wow that looks like it would be a bit of a mess to produce something completely comprehensive.

If I had time anymore it would be a fun project.
