RONDC20 0
Hey there Im a huge fan of Michael Giacchino and all his scores especially his Medal of Honor scores and Secret Weapons over Normandy and I just recently discovered his Call of Duty score. Im also a fan of Marvel Superhero Captain America, anyway a lot of these scores have these great Epic, heroic and patrotic main themes. When I heard the main theme for Secret Weapons over Normandy I see Cap fighting Nazis in WW2. That theme just screams Captain America to me. I think that if they ever make a Captain America movie live action or Animated they should totally get Michael Giacchino to score it. What do you guys think? Do you agree with me? Rogue_Leader 2
Giacchino can do better than Capt. America.
Guest
Oh Yeah, I totally want Michael to sign my wet panties.
Morlock 9
Who cares if he does this one in particular? if it's not this, it's something else. Either way- we're gonna get another Giacchino score, always a good thing, so I don't care which movie it is.
AC1 3,565
It seems he's suffering from typecasting already...The Incredibles, Captain America...Superhero movie 3 ... Superhero movie 4 ... Superhero movie 5 ...
Kendal_Ozzel 32
Seven years later...Funny that this talk started all the way back then. Heh. Well, I imagine we'll know before too long whether Giacchino's actually doing this or not. Perhaps from the SuperBowl teaser tonight even?

Ollie 859
No composer has been assigned to Captain America yet. Only a music supervisor is listed on the credits at the official site.
Docteur Qui 1,248
I'd love to hear another gung-ho heroic action score from Giacchino, in the vein of Medal of Honor or Secret Weapons Over Normandy. Unfortunately, judging from his recent output, mainly Star Trek (which is still great), he's shifted away from this.Still think the SWON theme would have been perfect for the Enterprise. If only he hadn't already written it....
Matt C 423
No composer has been assigned to Captain America yet. Only a music supervisor is listed on the credits at the official site. Not to mention on FSM someone posted that Giacchino said this:"I have always been a fan of the Captain America character - but at this moment I am not scoring the film."Clever way of not answering the question, Michael. Kendal_Ozzel 32
However, that "moment" was a month ago...
TownerFan 4,548
IMDb.com now lists Giacchino as the composer. Take it for what is worth, of course.
Muad'Dib 1,514
As there isn't a composer listed on the credits I have the theory, and only the theory, that maybe this movie won't have original music.
Ollie 859
They probably just haven't assigned a composer yet. When Williams' name wasn't on any of the early WOTW posters / trailers and people here started panicking, I believe someone, with knowledge, pointed out that composers are usually the last attached to a film. Muad'Dib 1,514
Guess who... Alan Menken. Maybe?
Wojo 2,442
Apparently that's only to write a song to be played during the movie, or maybe Cap will actually sing it. Maybe it's an original piece, maybe it's an arrangement of existing patriotic stuff. It says nothing about the actual score.
Ollie 859
It sounds like source cues for the USO, which is fine. Menken is a good song writer.
Kendal_Ozzel 32
However, I think giving Menken a shot at a score like this could be really interesting.
