Hlao-roo 388
As part of the The Washington Post's special coverage of the Kennedy Center honorees, John Williams appears in an article that is part autobiographical sketch, part interview. Good stuff, although there may be some of the usual factual inaccuracieshttp://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/artic...2004Dec3_3.html
Adam 1
Cool - people are doing a great job of proving good JW links, both music and articles. That?s the first time I?ve heard him speak directly about film music as ?manipulative?, which I agree has become something of a bad word. And I agree that it really shouldn?t. I think its partly the fault of a lot of not-so-good film music which tries to manipulate but does it badly, thus making it easier for some critics to draw the conclusion that manipulative music is the problem. - Adam
Falstaft 1,708
Great article!I never tire of hearing (and reading) John Williams talk about the process of film scoring. And what a great pic of JW! You think he's holding sketches of Episode III?
