#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,251
No, the real important question is, what do you think, Alex?
Morlock 9
Looks rather good to me. Some stuff look worse than I'd thought, some better. It looks like Scott learned some lessons since Gladiator. And his DP did too, although you can't tell much from the trailer. The writer's an unknown, this'll be his first produced script, so who knows. And only one writer could mean a more focused script. And with Harry's score, and that fantastic cast, it should be good. AC1 3,565
I'm not thrilled by it. Looks like the typical product they seem to be making these days, doesn't it? Nothing "special", if you know what I mean. However, I like Liam's appearance. Seems like he's playing a knight that you better take seriously. Mark my words, the scenes with Neeson and that guy with the mask will be the film's definite highlights.----------------Alex Cremers
Luke Skywalker 1,286
Does the castle appear? (ill watch it)It was filmed in a castle of my region .Hey come visit the expo in 2008, and visit as bonus the set of Kindom of heaven! :spiny:
Luke Skywalker 1,286
The castle appears (how cool it looks!) The movie looks fine, but i think the battles will be compared with ROTK...
AC1 3,565
The castle appears (how cool it looks!) Â The movie looks fine, but i think the battles will be compared with ROTK...Don't think so. These battles are between "armies of men"! LOTR is faught between "people" and trees, giant mammuts, zombies, demons, etcetera. Maybe there's a small chance people will compare it to Troy.----------------Alex Cremers
TheRuleOfThirds 0
Since Ridley Scott is behind this one and it seems like he's been given some elbow room to expand his vision for the script, I think this will come out all right. Yeah, it looks like another Troy, with Orlando Bloom as the main character hittin the sack with some token boobs with legs while the other "real" men are out fighting in a war that's more like a subplot than a setting. Really, though, that's probably what the marketing dep't wants us to think. It's probably just the typically-great war film we've come to expect from Ridley Scott and it's being packaged as something completely different and below Scott. #SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,251
I just hope this will give Orlando Bloom something to do beyond looking beautiful.LOTR and POTC shows he has talent, but it has not been put to the test yet. TheRuleOfThirds 0
He should really work with Focus Features, the last studio/company that cares about making movies with content.
Morlock 9
That is untrue. Though they are very good.

One cannot say from that far shot if they are orcs or men. That's why it looks similar... Another was with the horse stampede charge. And another with the ilumination of the film... AC1 3,565
The movie also blatantly apes Gladiator with wheatfield and all.----------------Alex Cremers

Though judging from the trailer, it seems that Ridley wants to sail another Gladiator course.

Morlock 9
Why, because of the 4 cues that were MV, as opposed to 95% of the score that wasn't?
