fommes 153
What are the best scores of Alan Silvestri, apart from the Back to the Future trilogy and Forrest Gump, obviously?
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
Try Judge Dred and the Mummy Returns.Predator is also an important Silvestri score.I like Volcano, but i don't think it is an ESSENTIAL score though.
Mr. Breathmask 555
I hear Van Helsing is pretty good. (The score, not the movie. Duh.)
Richard Penna 3,688
Apart from those mentioned, I really like:Contact (tracks 'Ellie's Bogey' and 'Good to Go' just have to be heard)The Bodyguard (quiet and subdued but emotional)The Polar ExpressCast Away is another good one, albeit very short. John McClane 1
Cast Away, but it's damn short. And obviously The Mummy Returns. With this you have AS' best, along with Forrest Gump, but you already knew it!And Predator, but it's already been said.
QMM 4
Mouse Hunt's a great score
Morlock 11
Mummy Returns and Forrest Gump are my favorites. Selected stuff from Back to The Future, The Abyss, Van Helsing and Mouse Hunt are brilliant.
John McClane 1
What lies beneath. It's cool that Zemeckis shot this movie while he was waiting for Tom Hanks to lose weight for Cast Away.
HPFAN_2 0
To me Mouse Hunt has a brilliant theme and some few highlights but other than that its garbage. Death Becomes her is a nice score. Van Helsing is very good. As a matter of fact i was just listening to it. Burn it Down- Van Helsing

Who Framed Roger Rabbit (John Scott's extensive suite is actually better than the original soundtrack IMO - a rarity to say the least)2. The Mummy Returns3. Omen II 1,235
One of Alan Silvestri's most infectious scores IMHO is Flight of the Navigator, although I do not think that there has ever been an official CD release (correct me if I am wrong, as I would probably buy it!).Although a lot of it is that 1980's-style Synclavier stuff, I defy anyone to watch the movie and not end up humming at least three of the main themes (all of which can be heard in the end titles) for the next month.I also defy anyone to watch the movie and not want a frisbee dog.Damien
mahler3 478
There was a CD released in the mid-90's by none other than our (beloved!) Ford A Thaxton, although it has become quite a rarity now. Details below. I agree Damien, it has an infectious theme that is irresistable!
