Has everyone forgotten or are people just ignoring the fact that Williams starts recording the final Star Wars score here in February?

According to theforce.net, he starts at Abbey Roads studios the first week of February.

Thought you might like to know.

Well,is that a good thing or a bad thing. It means he's just about finished writing it,maybe he was so utterly inspired it wrote itself. It also means we'll get tracked music for the General Grevious duels.

Yeah, thanks for the post. I applaud Williams for having already finished the 2 hour-score for the final installment of the greatest saga ever. While we've been here, worrying about WotW and RotS and whatever, he's been working all this time. Way to go, JW!!!

I get goosebumps just thinking what new themes and action cues he might have written. :(

Shall I go and sit outside Abbey Road? Or shall we just treat this recording as the remote and currently meaningless event it is? I mean, a muted webcast for a select few...what is there to talk about?

Yes,you are now the official JW stalker. We need every detail of his wherabouts in Febuary. To me it's still the most important JW recording ever, and were not passed the locked c.d. point, where the score is recorded and no series of unfortunate events except a nuclear war or a massive alien invasion can prevent a c.d. release.

Don't those Hyperspace members have acces to view the scoring sessions? Or hear it?

they are at the highest level of geekiness, don't you know thier parents are proud.

Dunno, he just had a "source." Here's the thread.

FYI, I don't know if anyone has mentioned this... I am scared to read this thread cuz I am spoiler free... but a source told me there will be a reprise of the funeral music for Qui-Gon from TPM in the ROTS score.

I'm inclined to believe this because he's a reputable member of the boards, hasn't tried to mislead people before, as far as I know.

Well if this is true it would be a nice link with so many Jedi getting knocked off in the movie. Still, I find it pretty dubious that anybody outside of Williams' inner circle and Lucas would be privy to that kind of info right now.

Maybe it'll go with the scene where Qui-Gon's spirit appears (if such a scene was filmed - I don't know). If so, that'd be too bad, because Qui-Gon's Theme would be just fine there...

Kind of weird, though. I remember Neeson making a remark a year or so ago that he definitely wouldn't be in RotS (he even let rip saying "Star Wars is all pyrotechnics now"), but now there's rumors flying he might have a small scene in it after all. Hmmm....

If you ever run into him, ask him what's up with WotW and MoG!!!

...and ask him if he'll be able to make it to Boston this May. Also ask if he will use the occasion to premiere his new ROTS music as part of a complete Star Wars Symphony.

Neeson and Jackson said he was in the movie in the golden globes or other film prizes. I posted the link in the ROTS thread.

Who is the chorus performer from London Voices who is working in the scoring sessions (as mentioned in the main page?!

He/she could slip a recorder, just in case they decide not to use another great final cue... :remybussi:

I knew scoring session were coming up, but as many of us have said, there's nothing we can do here save for hide sneak into Abbey Road Studios a la "Mission Impossible," have someone tied to a rope dangling from the ceiling of the studio, and get a glimps of what's being recorded.

Personally, I'd love to hear all-new music and themes, except for reprises of the Force theme, Luke's theme, Vader's theme, Leia's theme and Duel of the Fates.

Well, somebody could record the Hyperspace footage of the recording sessions, and uh, keep it to themself and not share it, of course, *cough* because sharing it would be illegal.

Oh, he's not actually in the movie, just drawn in by a Disney cartoonist.

Right then. We need to know how much rope/cable this will take. How much do you weigh Miz? :)

Well if I did record it, you know I would never share it with you. That's ILLEGAL you know. And we don't support ILLEGAL things here. ¬_¬

Don't forget to be on the look out for JW here:

Does anyone think that the global release of the film will help keep the late tinkering down and may mean that JW's score will be less chopped up? (He asked hopefully. )

Unlikely. Remember, Attack of the Clones had a global release, and the film is all digital, meaning that Lucas can continue to tinker with it after it's release date.

I don't thin we are delusional anymore.
