#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,251
Alan.I assume this is probably about the fact that some people have accused Goldsmith from blatantly ripping of Poledouris cue from Conan. I know it was used in the temp track, and Goldsmith kinda uses that theme in there, but apart from that these are very different pieces of music. But to this day I cannot understand why no one has accused Poledouris of blatantly ripping of Goldsmith main title cue for Capricorn One when writing Anvil Of Crom.Since thematically AND structurally they are pretty similar, almost identical even. Danielle 0
They're both great, plagiarism or not. I'd just about give Total Recall the edge though.
Mr. Breathmask 480
I think there was a similarity, but I can't really remember how the Main Titles to Total Recall went. - Marc, who Must. Get. More. Goldsmith. banghead

Dean1700 4
Conan for sure. I love the primevil (spelling) sound of it but pity it is not complete. Total Recall sounds too mechanical for my liking.
Morlock 9
Total Recall, mainly because of the crappy performance and recording of Conan. I love the performance and recording of the score. Like Wind and the Lion, it's best sounding rough and unpolished.

King Mark 2,924
I think Neil is just mocking the new Ep 3.title crawl.Of course that maintains the attitude that nothing good can come out of this film.K.M.

Vincent_Price 0
Goldsmith and Verhoeven wanted to do a kind of joke for the audience : "LISTEN... YOU'RE GONNA TO HAVE ONE ARNOLD MOVIE !"That's all...And if i'm not wrong, Goldsmith and Poledouris were in the same agency, so they maybe made a deal for it (and after all... it's only some notes...)God bless Goldsmith !
