Hlao-roo 388
(I thought about adding "Jar Jar's Introduction" from Episode I, but I figured it'd overwhelm the competition.)
David Coscina 3
I actually prefer The Football Game. Maybe because it hasn't been proliferated in other film scores so much.

Adam 1
The Football Game does have a kind of street swagger about it which comes as close as anythng he's done, perhaps, to being sort of hip or cool in the sense that the question might be meant. Its horribly dialed down in the film, unfortunately, and barely audible. But I like how he works in the revenge theme over the rythmic part which propels the scene forward. Also lots of little details like how he times his orchestral hits with the violent hits in the movie.- Adam

Marian Schedenig 5,520
The Football Game has always been one of Williams' coolest cues. 5/4 meter with Williams' timpani writing, what more can you want?Marian -

Ray Barnsbury 8
uhm, to possibly know what that means??? Â 5/4 means 5 beats per measure.....that may not be any more helpful to understand though. And timpani are the large drums used at the end of many Williams pieces (Adventures on Earth, SW end credits, etc): BUM bum BUM bum BUM bum BUUUuuuuuuuUUUUMMMM!!!Ray Barnsbury
John Crichton 4
Williams' use of timpani is amazing. One of his signatures.
Justin 2
uhm, to possibly know what that means??? Â 5/4 means 5 beats per measure.Or to put it another way there are five quarter notes to a measure. That's like a musical paradox! Justin - Who's going to have to try something in 5/4 now... Ray Barnsbury 8
The tense, building part of "The Chess Game" in SS/PS (repeated in CoS as Harry runs toward Ginny in the chamber) is in 5/4, to my ears.Ray Barnsbury
pat_burke 0
The military music that plays when Anakin hits the droid ship reactor in TPM is in 5/4.
Hlao-roo 388
Thought I would run this one through again in case it gets any traction among newer members, or some of older members have since listened to these pieces.

GoldsmithFanatic2000+ 0
The Conspirators, by far. I agree. As much as I like "The Football Game" It tends to remind me of "Setting the Trap" from Home Alone on occasion which Williams himself used other music from various well-known Christmas songs in. I love the Home Alone score, it's just with a dark score like Sleepers I don't want to be thinking of Macaulay Culkin setting down traps in a house. So I vote for "The Conspirators" from JFK. It's the far better cue.
