ROTS soundtrack on sale in The Netherlands already!

This afternoon I bought the ROTS-soundtrack at a Free Record Shop (confusing name I know - and they do NOT give away anything 'free'... talk about bad marketing!).

Ofcourse they're not SUPPOSED to sell it until May 2, BUT either they don't know that or they don't care. Just be nice to them and they'll sell you the CD.

And on a personal note: bro; I feel really bad that I didn't buy a copy for you. I will make it up to you!

I did have a good hunt today, since deliveries for the UK release date would have all arrived today (since Monday is a Public Holiday), but no sign and even the shop I go to every day and have bought almost all my JW stuff from wouldn't even budge......

The CD is already on sale in Italy too! I bought my copy today for an almost scant € 17.90! :(

Sound quality is friggin' great, the CD sounds fantastic! The DVD is a nice and well-done companion, a pleasant musical journey throughout the narrative arc of the Saga. Some montages are nicely done, others are not-so-great. The music blasts very powerful and glorious and luckily enough the clips play without sound fx and very minimum dialogues. In the end, it's great to finally see something that puts all the music in a single perspective.

The CD is also on sale at VanLeest and Music Store. To bad I ordered my copy at Bol.com.

Really!? I think I am going to leave my work for a few minutes!

How about Mediamarkt?

There are no bonus tracks on my copy: 15 tracks. That's it.

And yes my bro is a silent lurker on this board. Well; not really silent... I recently found out he tried to freak some of you out here under the name Maraquesh....

Into the great wide open

It's out here in Belgium too, with 15 tracks. So I'm fricking holding off to buy it! So, only bonus tracks for Americans right?

Pity about Koninginnendag, or I might have gotten it tomorrow.

It's 'koninginnedag' actually

Aha! Finally we have found the culprit. You know I even sent that guy a private message telling him there were many on this board who agreed with him deep down, but the same people felt too embarrassed to say so that they would prove to be his harshest critics (in order to demonstrate their false loyalty). I still suspect many here secretly sympathised with his great cause.

Tom Petty indeed. :P

Hmmm...were has he earned the right to freak people out on this Forum?

When you tried to do it with your "John Williams ain't scoring WOTW" rants you seemed at least be be seriously concerned.

But only long standing veterans like JoeinAr and myself have the right to mindf*ck the brainless herd that seems to post here.

Please inform your brother that The Master does not require his assistance in this matter.

Oh, I was seriously concerned about War Of The Worlds. Not anymore though. Now I'm concerned about Vengeance. I don't mean it as a joke whatsoever, but, uh, Da Zimma is coming on this one mesa fears...

About my brother; he is really a cool guy. That Maraquesh thing made me wanna leave this board for a while (when I didn't know it was him; he fooled me too!) And he is totally not into Tom Petty. If he didn't get banned perhaps he would have become a great poster like I am. It runs in our family you know... :(

Sigh...here we go again.

I'm still baffled that people were actually fooled by this person.

I'm sure your brother meant well but I never found it very interesting to fool a bunch a bunch of people from a forum I don't even belong too.

Neil's arms is long, and he rules the MB like he is rumored to have sex...with an iron fist.

I'm afraid your brother shall not be for this MB (and if he's no JWFAN there's no reason he should even be here.)

Well; I mainly agree with you.

The funny thing is that my bro actually IS a John Williams fan. Not as active as me, but he does own quite a number of scores from the master. He even owns an original Witches Of Eastwick 1987 pressed CD!! And he has been silent lurker for years now.

I guess he could have made a better first impression...

my only problem was that people right off the bat assumed it was me.

It was obvious from the start, that he and I had completely different styles of writing, not to mention our approaches to writing a post.

You mean Roald's brother actually used capital letters to start his sentences?

how dare you?

He's not. Nor is he really welcomed if his idea of fun is making an ass of himself while disrupting the board.

I thought it was a great bit of fun, and alas it seems people are too humorless to have gotten the joke. I'm glad I didn't show my short film to an audience full of JWFANers... I doubt I'd get a laugh out of you.

Considering a certain moderator made big currency of changing every reference on the message board from 'A New Hope' to 'Star Wars'.... it does seem a bit rich someone else got banned for poking us where we deserve to get poked.

:

Williams sais that "Spielberg is tiring me out this year" in that q&a of his last concert, which I assume is because he has to do WotW and Vengeance this year.

maybe you haven't been here long enough to develop a sense or understanding of the regular posters here, sense of humor. Plus you seem overly critical of Neil, who is a fine moderator. Not to mention Neil didn't ban the poster in question.

Well; I'm not here to defend my brother or anything. It's just that when it comes to "disrupting" a board I guess you and Joe (no offense guys!) are no strangers to that after what you pulled on www.millenniumfalcon.com :(

wait a second Roald, I may occasionally (15 to 75 times a year) have "fun" at this board,

but I pulled nothing a milleniumfalcon.com, they (actually Fatboy Robert) assumed my joke meant for this board was real, and jumped all over it. I merely commented to him that he was not the first nor the last person on the internet to fall for one of my pranks, afterwhich he proceeded to call me all sorts of names, lied out his rear denying that he had fallen for anything, and then accused me of actually manufacturing fake music, which anyone here who knows me, that I am truely low tech, and incapable of such things.

I admit that I responded to his(Fatboy Robert) and others attack on me at that insipid site, and since they have not a bit of decorum, I responded in the style of lingo that they would understand, only my colorful metaphors were a little more colorful than theirs.

Joe's got it right. We didn't go there to start trouble, they came here and fell for a gag. "Fatboy Roberts" then went on to insult everyone here at the board by referring to the entire membership as "kids" (he did this several times). It was insulting, degrading and inaccurate. We may have had a few words after that, but it was all eventually cleared up. It's quite different from your brother coming here to start a new account strictly to cause trouble.

Joe and Neil; I apologize for making assumptions on your contribution at MF.com. Thanks for clearing it up anyway; I always wondered what you guys were doing over there. Sorry there.

And Neil; I guess it depends on how you define "trouble". I don't exactly "worship" my brother for doing what he did, but I don't think he was "doing-his-thing" with trouble in mind.

But; shall we end discussing this from now? Let's, uh, put it Into the Great Wide Open?

Neil does not like it when ruffians are disrupting the Board.

Because it's his job to set about them....

The worst thing you can do is to not critisize the moderator.

The moderator's only job is to stop things when things DO get out of hand, not if it only looks like it. Disruption is a good thing once in a while, keeps everyone on their toes that sort of thing. May not be nice, but that's life. Anything else will result in a dull superficial atmosphere. It's people that should control themselves and not a moderator.

There a fine line between modding, and controlling. "...it is a path to the dark side." Take consideration into your moderation.

So I would have to respond to this with a: "It is his job to not make it his aim."

The Village Idiot has spoken.
