I realized after posting that I quite possibly have posted identical or similar shots before...I was trying to energize the thread, and perhaps did it a bit hastily (I threw all the movies I could fit into a case, and uploaded at work), going for shots that are too cryptic. That'll mean that if you simply have a DVD playing at the right aspect ratio (meaning you're not watching a screwed up window in the first place) and haven't adjusted your player's window size, it'll make a 1024 x 576 screengrab from an anamorphic PAL source. That should give you the correct aspect ratio for your image.Anyway, number 17 is Magnolia and number 27 is There Will Be Blood. Number 15 looks awefully familiar.
