Teary Eyed

Have you ever been so moved by a piece of music that it actually brought tears to your eyes? John Williams music frequently has had this affect on me.

One piece that stands out in my memory is "E.T. and Me" from the original 1982 album. I remember welling up with that one on a few occations. Yes, I'm a sentimental fool. bowdown

The main theme from Schindler's List

The main theme from Saving Private Ryan

A window to the past from HP:POA

Across the stars from SW EPII: AOC

That is just a short list, I know there are many more. I have to say, hearing The Schindler's list them live (performed by Perlman) and Across the stars, gave me goose bumps and brought me to tears.

Remembrances from Schindler's List always makes me well up inside (although being Jewish that could not totally to do with the music)

Don't forget "Immolation", and a very special one: "Auschwitz-Birkenau". How Williams can create such deep emotions with such minimal means just escapes me (of course, Perlman had a hand in that, too)

How bout a few non-williams scores? :) Maybe a change of pace, but there are quite a few that come to mind for me......

"End Credits" - Glory and Braveheart

"Crucifixion" - Passion of the Christ

"The Grey Havens" - LOTR: ROTK
