pixie_twinkle 44
Has anyone played this? It's expensive ($50.00 at Best Buy) and the sample questions on the back of the box seem to be really easy. I'm interested in getting it, but if the questions are all really simple it's going to be a waste of money. Let me know if you have it and if it's worth getting. Thanks. John Crichton 4
Some relatives of mine got the LotR Trivial Pursuit DVD this past Christmas and after playing it I found it very disappointing. It was really easy and having the questions asked to you on screen doesn't really add anything IMO.John- who saw this in the store and wondered if it contained any new footage from Episode III. pixie_twinkle 44
So Luke. You've played the game, I'm assuming. How is it? Are there enough difficult questions in it to make it worth getting?P.S. Thanks for the LOTR trivia info JC.
Lurker 5
All of the ROTS clips leaked to the net as soon as the game was released. And I got many of the ROTS questions right, without having seen the movie. I can only guess that the other films are just as easy.Neil
pixie_twinkle 44
Thanks Neil, that's what I wanted to know. Seems like such a wasted opportunity. Surely the only people who would part with $50 for this set are die hard Star Wars fans. If the questions are aimed at a more general audience then there's been a bit of a marketing screw-up somewhere.

pixie_twinkle 44
Well in that case I'll just go into my local bar on Friday at 7pm and play NTN trivia while supping a cool pint of Guinness instead. 7-7.30 is a Star Wars Topix quiz! Anyone else play NTN? It's awesome. My highest national ranking is 9th!
Mr. Breathmask 480
What's NTN?
pixie_twinkle 44
It's short for National Trivia Network. Its a US only thing, I think. I've never seen it in England. It is a trivia game that shows on the TV screens in American bars. You ask the bartender for a "playmaker", a box with buttons on it. Use this to hit the answer to the questions that appear on the TV screen. You play against people all over America. After the game it tells you where you ranked nationally. American bars tend to have somewhere around 20 TV screens which is probably why the game took off here so well. It's fun and addictive. Anyway, on Friday this week there's a half-hour NTN trivia game that's Star Wars themed. I'm hoping to get a maximum score (15000). If they ask questions about the books though I'm sunk. You can check it out at www.ntn.com (though you have to be in a bar to actually play the game).
