An Inch growth in size? or big 12ft cockroaches with nasty pointy teeth? I'm sure they'd give us some nasty stings and bites to contend with. The Asteroid thing sounds pretty good to me actually. At least you'd have some advance notice to make a final party out of it. Stick on the "Asteroid Field" from ESB. Find yourself a nice location (probably a set of cliffs like the White Cliffs of Dover) at sunset, and watch it come through the atmosphere and crash into the sea (which would be dramatic if it chose to) and bring out your best bottle of ancient wine to drink while everybody sings rocking from side to side like a Bavarian festival - "For he's a jolly good asteroid, for he's a jolly good asteroid. For he's a jolly good asteroiiiiiiid......and so say all of us". At which point it would surely be time to tuck tail and run screaming "Run away...run awaaaayy" like the lilly livered pansys we all are. Jw's demise would be unfortunate too though. Although, if he were around during the Asteroid event and wasn't busy with other projects, we at Jwfan could round up the cash and hire him to compose a "Variation on a theme of the Asteroid Field".
