Mr. Breathmask 480
This Friday, I'm leaving for Rome. Of course, apart from going sightseeing and doing all of the tourist stuff, I'd like to take some nice new CDs back home with me. Anyone know any good stores, preferably not too expensive?- Marc
jamesie 1
Ok, on the "Corso", the great big shopping street, there is one very very large CD store. The street is straight in front of the big "wedding cake" white monument to Victory Emanuel (and that is on the Argentine street - and that runs past the colleseum and forum also) Another way - Ok the corso is the middle street running from Piazza Del Popolo. And yeah the cd store is kinda in the middle of the Corso. It's been a couple years since I lived in Rome... And I had to have my mom help me with the names there... But I hope you find it. And have fun in Rome!!!!
RomanticStrings 9
That's funny you mention that. I was in Florence a few years ago, and I found the Nixon score. Well, actually, a friend who knew I liked Williams just happened to find the CD on a shelf and brought it to me. When she showed me, I was very pleased, but I don't think she understood why. I was wondering where I might find that other Hopkins movie score, The Edge. No stores carry it, and I can only find it on Ebay for $30. Any hints?~Conor
Mr. Breathmask 480
Thanks for the advice. I'll print this out and take it with me.I'm signing off for three weeks now, although I may pop in from an internet café.Arrivederci.- Marc
Richard Penna 2,082
I managed to get hold of The Edge for £10, which is around $18 nowadays in pretty much mint condition. There's one currently going now on Ebay for $18, it's one of my favourite Goldsmith scores and I highly recommend anyone to grab this.
