Superman - The Movie CD

Is it just on my CD, or is it on all of them:

CD 2, Track 4 "The Flying Sequence", 6:49, there's this horrible "blip" sound - not just a short pop - really disturbing!

Is it just my CD, or is this on other people's too?

But i checked a second time, without watching the timing and i dont noticed...

I wish I had your skill. Annoying - that was my favourite part of the track until I heard that.

It's a bass guitar! That's the way the piece was written and recorded.

Want to hear background noise on Superman (which has also been on every album)? Listen to "The Destruction of Krypton" around 59 seconds.

What? With one half-second off-beat random note?

Ohhhhwwwwwwwww. I'd never have noticed that - but I'll hear it all the time now. Just like in Star Wars Tarkin's line "then name the system". I never noticed before I read that article.

"I cloooose my eyes....."etc (from AI...)

Im not checking that. i have several things like that and i dont want more!

Neil, the thing that you discovered in Imperial march, is one of the last cymbal clashes? That ends too abruptly? I think it could be the player stoping it with his hand so it doesnt last too much time...

And if its not this, dont bother posting the exact timing huh? :joke:

He's playing the entire time, and if there were any imperfections in the performance, I'm sure Williams or music editor Bob Hathaway would have fixed it.

It's a bad edit. Extra reverb was added to the ROTS bonus DVD to cover it.

Oh right. I just played it on my CD player and it plays fine - just on my PC it sounds particularly dodgy.

there's a track in Jurassic Park that kills me everytime... You can hear one of what I can only assume to be one of the cellists sitting back in their chair... you hear the chair creaking. The very very end of "Journey to the Island."

"Incident at Isla Nublar" even has this "boom" near its end

I hear that one every time.

Also, the piano part that opens the End Credits from E.T. has a lot of creaking in it.

I should be getting my sealed copy of the Rhino edition in the mail within the next week or so...bought it from ebay for $15.66 shipped.

excellent price.

Yes it is, especially for a rare out of print score such as this... I'm lucky to have gotten it at such a great price. :D
