robthehand 3
I currently own neither the DVD nor the soundtrack CD for Schindler's List. I have one question about the above box set collector's edition. Is the soundtrack CD that comes with this set the same as the original soundtrack - or is it one of those "musical highlights" 20-minute ones again? If it is the same, I'll probably buy this, but if it's not, I'll just get the normal DVD and the CD separately.
Hitch 55
I have the above mentioned Collectors Edition and the soundtrack that is included is the same MCA cd that is currently available in good record stores. Hitch

Proudraj 0
I got the 2 disc Schindler's List the other day (cos it was only £6.99). Such a powerful film and score, but where was the special features? The interviews and documentary on the Shoah Foundation are inspired, but i would have loved to hear something bout how they made the film. That's just my opinion, don't let me disuade you from buying it, just know what to expect from it. (It's probably worth it just for the film i suppose)

Mr. Breathmask 480
I think it was just left off on Schindler's List to not diminish the impact. Most Spielberg DVD's have making of docs I think. JP, TLW, ET, Indy, Ryan, Jaws... What you'll never see, though, is an audio commentary on a Spielberg film. robthehand 3
Well, I've never listened to an entire audio commentary - so I'm not fussed about that.
Molaram 0
You will rarely see Spielberg do that for his films. ET, Indiana Jones and Saving Private Ryan are the exceptions. He doesn't like to take away the illusion of moviemaking by discussing it in a documentary. To the contrary. If memory serves, The Sugarland Express, Hook, Always, and Schindler's List are the only DVDs of Spielberg films that do not feature any kind of behind the scenes/making of material of any kind. Spielberg does not do commentaries as a general rule, however, he has stated that he really loves to do making of documentaries to make up for his lack of commentaries.
