Now come on, seriously. This was just to increase you post count wasn't it?  :music:

Clearly that is the reason. He's out to get me! :)

Well, in many of the (way too) many books about Steven Spielberg I've read they call E.T., Buck.

I don't kow if that answers your question, but I think that's a really dull name. Clearly, if it was a name at all, it was for a working stage.

E.T. as a name rocks.

I'd like to name one of my kids E.T. Hey, if I convince my future wife to call our eldest Anakin, I can get her to call the youngest E.T.

Yeah, I'm not kidding! Just check John Baxter's "Steven Spielberg" book. They keep referring to E.T. as Buck.

ROSS - honest

Nope.

Well I haven't read the book in 5 years, and I'm 17 now so you can guess how acquainted I am with the episode.

However, the Buck thing startled me so much I reread the chapter a couple of times and I found no reason for that name. It doesn't seem to appear in any other source.

ROSS - who's beginning to get used to this "dialogue-like" posting system.

Well, whenever I posted a ne message, I put an invitation for someone to join me, but before I left the chat room, I deleted the message from the post.

I've never been in the chat room. Is it fun?

I'd like to name a son of mine "Elliot", but it wouldn't go too well with my last name. 8O

No, it is not.

Dan - who finds a name like "Elliot Goldenthal" stereotypically Jewish. It's funny.

You should try reading the last two posts of page 1.

Dan - who knows that will answer all (or, at least, most) questions
