I was watching The Family Guy, and I think it was a new episode. For whatever reason, there was a scene that copied the scene in Empire, where Vader is in his egg shell life support hub (or whatever the hell it is) and the helmet comes down from the ceiling and fixes itself on his head. Chris Griffin had the same thing happen to him in the bathroom and the Imperial/Vader theme played.

From the Chicago-Sun-Times TV Critic:

Even some unoriginal scenes are cute. When her nemesis walks into Emily's office, she does so in slow-motion with the theme from "Jaws" playing. We've seen this before, but it's funny anyway.

I was watching Olympic Hockey, USA vs. Germany, and the organist started playing the Rebel Fanfare.  I have no idea why, but that's definitely what was being played.

Tim

He played that , because Potter made one of USA's goal... ;)

Sorry for this small bump for this old thread but I am watching the Captail One Bowl between Wisconsin and Auburn and I just heard one of the bands play a small statement of the Imperial March.

Edited: Sorry ment Captail One Bowl

THANK YOU!! I thought I was going mad when I heard it! I wasn't really expecting the Imperial March at a football.

on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight, Tom Green was in Torino interviewing people. some of the people didnt speak English so he tried to communicate with them using the CEot3K theme. it was quite funny.

Just watched an episode of Family Guy (Peter's Got Woods). At the end of the episode, Peter has captured James Woods under a wooden crate. When Brian asks him what he ever did with James Woods, Peter replies "don't you worry about him - he's being examined by top men."

"Who?"

"Top. Men."

Naturally, we then see copies of the final shots from Raiders accompanied by the finale music. :sleepy:

EDIT: Watched another episode (Jungle Love), that ends with another direct lift from Raiders. This time it's Indy trying to escape the Hovito's. Again with the right cue playing. :jump:

I was just watching some of the NBC Olympic coverage. They were doing this drawn out story about the Cross Country relay, from the '94 Olympics, between Norway and Italy. At the end, during the celebration, they started playing Viktor's theme from The Terminal.

The Simpsons episode that parodies CMIYC was just on. They practically played the entire main theme by Williams. Then right when the end credits came one, Alf Clausen did a variation of it before the Simpsons theme comes on.

On the spanish national TV, there was a documentary about the failed coup d'etat that took place on February 23 1981. They used the JFK main theme, piano version.

Another moment on Family Guy last night.

In trying to fake and videotape Quagmire's death Peter used a toy dinosaur up close while filming Quagmire at a distance to make it look like he was being eaten. Peter was singing "Journey To The Island" from Jurassic Park.

In the SEC NCAA championship the South Carlonia marching band was playing the krypton theme, which i've heard them play a couple of times. And the Gators also use the Jaws theme to signal their defense, and then a lot of SEC teams use the Imperial March.

In The Simpsons episode where Mr Burns is mistaken for an alien by Homer the school band attempt to play the 5-notes from CE3K. They do fine until a tuba gets the last note wrong.

Also, Dana Scully and Fox Mulder were in that episode, so obviously the X-Files theme was featured.

The episode contains E.T. and Shining references too.

Good episode.

Doesn't Homer say something like "John Williams must be turning in his grave" in one episode. I think the Springfield orchestra is attempting to play Star Wars or something...

I think it's so funny how much Jimmy Neutron creators love Steven Spielburg and John Williams.

I just watched an episode on how their lake had a large reptilian seamonster so they sent Jimmy and co. out on a boat with this guy to hunt the animal down.

Of course, the music sounded almost exactly like Jaws' "Out to Sea" and then just like Jaws in General. Even the action was very Jaws. THe boat sank and Carl was on the outlook tower and used a pea shooter to shoot a de-mutator into his once pet-turtles mouth causing it to get really bright and almost look like it explodes... but it dind't... it shrank... and then they all took the floating tanks and swam home singing a song that sounded like Quid's drinking song about the something ladies.

Then in another episode, they went back in time to the dinosaur era and you hear the Carnivore Motif from Jurassic Park lol let alone they tell carl not to move because the "rex's vision was based on movement."

Then Jimmy was like "Sean, that's an outdated belief."

And Sean goes "Well, in that Case, RUN CARL!" lol

I love this show...

EDIT:

The music is done by Brian Causey and Charlie Brissette.
