The Freddy Mercury/John Williams prediction

The predition is that John Williams will score a Frankenstein movie before he retires from film scoring. Here's my explanation:

In the Freddy Mercury-penned Queen song Bicycle Race (1978-from the album Jazz) Freddy Mercury lists all the things he dislikes, going on to say that he'd rather just be riding his bicycle. Here are all the negative lyrics from that song. Each one is either the name of a Williams-scored film, or directly relates to one.

"Jaws was never my scene,

and I don't like Star Wars"

...pretty obvious, this.

"I don't believe in Peter Pan,

Frankenstein or Superman"

...Superman came out the same year as the song Bicycle Race. Hook came out the year Freddy died, and 13 years after the song was written! How did he know?

"I don't wanna be the

president of America"

well, this could relate to Nixon, JFK, Amistad...

"I don't want to be a candidate

for Vietnam or Watergate"

Born on the 4th of July, Nixon...

So there you go. The only dislike not accounted for in Freddy's lyrics is Frankenstein (unless there's a Williams-scored film I'm forgetting. The Frankenstein toy in Barry's bedroom in CEO3K doesn't count!) so I reckon it's only a matter of time before Williams takes on a Frankenstein score to keep his Dracula company.

It's all in the mind, you know...

There was a scene from Frankenstein in ROTS. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

Ahahah, great thread. Freddy is a legend, one of a kind. Reading the first post I imagined the sunset finale scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, with We are the champions. :)

Nice, thought. ;)
