It does not matter what I wish. My relatives will be getting me clothes. Socks, shirts, pants etc.

I buy my music, books and DVDs myself so there is very little room for error. My relatives are at loss with my tastes in all of them. They should improvise and get a present they think would make me happy but not necessarily be on my wish list. Surprises are nice and gifts are not the main thing in Christmas anyway.

My wishlist (partially fulfilled already):

Memoirs of a Geisha score.

FOTR Complete Recordings.

Errol Flynn swashbuckling DVDs: Seahawk, Captain Blood, Robin Hood.

King Kong score.

Bernard Herrmann and Korngold scores: North By Northwest, Private Lives of Elisabeth and Essex, Another Dawn& Escape Me Never.

Then I have to find suitable gifts for my relatives. I will think of something original and fitting (I hope  )

DVDs (all in widescreen):

-Friends: The Complete 10th Season

But Friends is a full-screen show. Why would you want to butcher it to view it in widescreen?

- Marc, who won't get anything anyway.

I have my fiance. I don't need anything else for Christmas. :(

But I have been toying with the idea of trying out the iPod, just to see what the big deal is. But it's too expensive to take on a "test run."

Neil, why do you have "My Date With Drew" on your wish list? Can't you just ask the director for a copy? I thought you two were like this: beerchug

I just want peace and joy to all people of the earth.

We are the JWFan message board. We don't do that sort of thing.

I see Neil is preparing for the upcoming De Palma movie. :)

Marian - hoping that Neil has the Jochum Carmina Burana and shocked that he still needs Rambo: First Blood Part II. :(

Neil,

I have those Hitchcock books. THE BIRDS one is excellent. REAR WINDOW...not so good.

Good to see that there's another John Adams fan on the board. My XMAS list is

very small:

New Bed Linen for Cabins 1 -12.

Knife Sharpener for Mother.

Cellulite inducing cream for Tippi.

Anti-Shark cage for Steef.

Book of Star Trek quotes for Drax and Justin. Keep up boys!

Anti-Lock mechanism for Neil for his Vertigo CD. You'll have to wait longer mate.

Dinner with Kate Mulgrew.

Cameo in the next Star Trek movie.

John Williams to win the Oscar in Feb 2006.

Brokeback Mountain to win Best Picture.

Bernard Herrmann's 30th Anniversary will be celebrated in style with the World Premiere performance of his score to THE BIRDS and will be performed by the Underground Orchestra conducted by Muir Mathieson on Dec 24 next.

2 more narrow ties for Bennie.

Then perhaps you can answer a question for me about LALD original release?

For some tracks, are there different recordings or different arrangements, or are they at least very differently edited?

I already have everything.

So do I. I wouldn't mind having the Jeeves and Wooster complete set, or some Seinfeld DVD's, or more The Office (BBC), but what pleasure I can extract from those things does not compensate the bother of my loved ones to get it through the Internet for me. I'll ask for books and clothes and concentrate on what others want.

Legos

Why I'm not surprised? 8O

All the buying has been done... Most of my music I get it myself -- sometimes to be a gift from my wife, but still, it's me who gets it.

I'll be getting a couple of DVDs (WotW and Empire of the Sun), a couple of LPs of Pops recordings, and a Brass Band CD of Williams music.

Also the new Lobo Antunes book, and surelly, lots of cloths!

Indeed.I finished Half Life 2 then 2 weeks later I couldn't show a friend a level because Steam decided my Direct X drivers weren't up to date with no option to do it later,so I was refused access to the game. Also, you can never access the games untill you have all the latest Steam advertisements downloaded, which can take a long time with a slow internet connection.

I'm not getting more games that involve Steam. What a load of crap.

I don't have a wish list. This is the reason.

You can always wait for the Three Wise Men (oh, you don't have that in the States, sorry ;) )

LOL althought I'm not a religious guy. 8O

I'm Italian, by the way. ;)
