Luke Skywalker 1,795
Same here, and glad this was easy.I should have included ET here (so 12 vs 12...). I find it to be more drama than popcorn.
QMM 4
Schindler's List, with Munich somewhere close to it
John McClane 1
ET or not, there's no doubts Schindler's List would have won anyways. So I vote for Schindler's List.
batmanand 0
Schindler's List, with Munich somewhere close to itAgreed. The more I think about it, the better Munich gets.

Josh500 1,615
Schindler's List, definitely, closely followed by Saving Private Ryan. I also like the highly underrated A.I. and Empire of the Sun -- it's unfortunate that the public didn't embrace these quiet masterworks.
Elmo Lewis 6
I have to admit Josh put it very well before I did.
Romão 2,274
Schindler's List, followed by the haunting Munich, a movie which I considerer to get better as each day passes since I've watched it. It simply won't leave my mind.A.I and Empire of the Sun are also brilliant.
A24 4,331
I was the one that voted for Empire Of The Sun. It is perhaps more flawed than Schindler's List but with Empire of The Sun I feel that repeated viewing is more rewarding.
John McClane 1
The Terminal is a nice story, it's sad but it also fun in parts. I wouldn't call either "dramatic" or "popcorn". What is sure is that nothing is more dramatic that WWII, no wonder why the two WWII-related movies are winning...
scissorhands 16
Empire of the Sun.with Empire of The Sun I feel that repeated viewing is more rewarding. In fact, I was pretty indifferent the first time I saw it.
Joni Wiljami 1,206
Schindler's List. (here)Underrated Saving Privat Ryan comes near behind. And it's true, that more you see the Empire of the Sun,better it gets.Last time I saw,it was VHS-age,it's time to accomplish my DVD-librarywith an other great drama. BLUMENKOHL 1,068
Private Ryan tied with Schindler. However, I went with the one more bearably dramatic...Saving Private Ryan.
BurgaFlippinMan 7
i'll go with schindler followed closely by the underrated empire.however, i honestly dont think CMIYC and The Terminal are 'drama' films. They are more light comedy (and hence I consider them popcorn actually), especially the Terminal
JoeinAR 1,949
well I knew Schindler's List would win, but I prefer the Color Purple, its a much more emotional film to me.

I think the latter is a four star movie but I just can't live with the 'I Could've Done More' scene. Why, Spielberg? Why? And yes, I was also pretty indifferent when I saw Empire Of The Sun the first time in theater.----------------Alex Cremers
