QMM 4
Wouldn't ask but I'm on a deadline and I'm very busy at the moment but I need to find a recording of anything that could be used for a dance (film score or not), preferably something that isn't in 3/4 (waltz).Needs to be "sweeping"
Elmo Lewis 6
There are dozens of styles that can be used for a dance. Although you can find a lot of them in the "Dance at the Gym", from West Side Story. You'll find that the recording conducted by Bernstein is the most comprehensive (albeit poorly mixed I seem to remember).
Beowulf 4
If you want "real" dance music that is representive of a real dance-form that people dance even today, get some authentic recordings of music that accompany the Flamenco dances of Andalucia.I was in Seville once during a summer a couple of years ago - at a fiesta in the hot summer night that my Host's were hosting - I was dancing with the most beautiful Spanish girl the whole night through - she taught me how to Flamenco dance......Now THAT was music to dance to.....
