Didn't I say that John Williams will win an Oscar for Memoirs Of A Geisha over my dead body?

Baby, look at me

And tell me what you see

You ain't seen the best of me yet.

Give me time,

I'll make you forget the rest.

I got more in me,

And you can set it free

I can catch the moon in my hand

Don't you know who I am?

Remember my name. Fame!

I'm gonna live forever

I'm gonna learn how to fly--high!

I feel it comin' together

People will see me and cry. Fame!

I'm gonna make it to heaven

Light up the sky like a flame. Fame!

I'm gonna live forever

Baby, remember my name

Remember, remember, remember, remember,

Remember, remember, remember, remember.

Baby, hold me tight

'Cause you can make it right.

You can shoot me straight to the top

Give me love and take all I got to give

Baby, I'll be tough

Too much is not enough, no

I can ride your heart 'till it breaks.

Ooh, I got what it takes.

FAME

I'm gonna live forever

I'm gonna learn how to fly--high!

I feel it comin' together

People will see me and cry. Fame!

I'm gonna make it to heaven

Light up the sky like a flame. Fame!

I'm gonna live forever

Baby, remember my name

Remember, remember, remember, remember,

Remember, remember, remember, remember.

ARGH! At least he didn't look disappointed like before... He just took in a deep breath, smiled, and clapped. :)

BUT THOSE IGNORANT FUCKING CUNTS AT THE ACADEMY! How could they possibly give away Oscar to a shabby 13 minute score over 2 Genius scores by Williams? Honestly, HOW??? I just don't understand it... I mean, the two scores are clearly better than brokeback, any human being with an ounce of taste could see that...

Is this not Best Original Score anymore??????

Did anybody else notice how they made a fuss over Clooney's 3 nominations tonight, but not Williams, who has more than anyone else in the room? Grr. Give the man his due!

He just took in a deep breath, smiled, and clapped.

Bravo to him - gracious as ever!

:) "Hatikvah (The Hope)" - Munich, John Williams

My friend just suggested that maybe because he was nominated for 2 movies, they split the vote, allowing a distant 3rd place to become first place.

  I hope you all have learned your lesson.

Stop gloating, and bashing those who actually have Faith in Williams.

Do they release the official vote counts? I'm sure that MoaG and Munich combined gives JW more votes than that other guy. Damn vote splitting!

Love Stewart though and his Perlman jokes

Is King Kong sweeping every award it's nominated for?

Bleeding Morons!

The only reason Santaolalla won is because he has that funny last name. Same with 'Zamarek last year. And a slew of winners of the past decade.

I'm bashing those who have faith in the Academy.

I'm not that surprised Williams didn't win, given the history of how Academy voters chooses the music winners. It almost always goes to someone whom I've never heard of, or has music that goes some "important" film (however bland the music might be), or has been said, some guy with a foriegn name (suggesting the person writes more serious music). Didn't Santaolalla write the music before he was even associated with the film? How does that qualify?

Of course, it also doesn't help when the music branch picks certain (undeserving?) nominees in the first place! If only the winners were chosen by their respective categories...

Well, now Williams should know he'll never win again. He should stop scoring these artsy films and go back to what he does best,Harry Potter.

Doesnt change the fact a 13 minute guitar riff is the 'Best' score of 2005

Well, this is from the same Academy that gave an award to a song called "Hard Out Here for a Pimp."

Oh please, they also gave Eminem a friggin award a couple years ago for Lose Yourself. It's more than clear that the voters are musically reprehensible. I weep for the future of film music. ...oh wait, it's already hear. What I would give to hear what Bernard Herrmann would say on a night like this regarding the Bes Score award.
