futuremartymcfly 0
This is a pretty random survey that i'm pretty sure hasn't been done before, but if you could, what music would you play on loud speakers when your in a pretty pompous mood, to announce to the world that you have entered the room? Or what music would you play when you have conquered some great feat and run in slow motion?
Morlock 9
I don't know about the former, but the only thing to play for running in slow motion is Chariots of Fire.
BurgaFlippinMan 7
I'd choose the Imperial March for the former and Chariots of Fire for the latter. Uninspired yes, but so there.

ins 42
Don't know about the last choice but the first is pretty simple: Jerry Goldsmith, ST Insurrection, In Custody first 50 sec

Beowulf 3
Pompous eh?Well if I had a choice, it would be Holst's Jupiter movement from 'The Planets".It has everything that's good and old about British pompousness!
Elmo Lewis 6
Why don't we just ask Alexcremers what his favorite theme is?

Goldsmithfan 3
For the pompous cue . . . I'd play 'The Final Conflict' from the film of the same name. And no one would be allowed to talk or move during the entire 8:32 of it, not even me. I'd just stand there with my fists at my waist, like Superman or something. For the running in slow-mo, I'd use 'Siege of the City' from Flesh + Blood. Such juxtaposition would be great. Ray Barnsbury 8
I think "The Flag Parade" is one of Williams' most pompous pieces (in a very good way). Also, "Presenting the Hook."Ray Barnsbury

Docteur Qui 1,248
I love listening to Williams marches while walking - particularly the Imperial and Flag Parade marches. But definitely the former for my entrance to a room.
