ah, to counter my last remark (with a non-john williams or horror related film score) i really think that the Matrix: Revolutions is the best score of last year, though also the worst movie. There are a number of times, while listening to it, that i just have to stop everything i'm doing. it's so overwhelming that it's exhausting to listen to, which, sadly, cannot be said about the movie. some moments in that score (example- track Why Mr. Anderson?, about half way through) that are so revolutionary they are probably impossible to put into film. or any picture that could be logically understood. It just takes on it's own meaning, seperate from anyone else's vision. one of those rare gems that will get no awards, or gain any respect, yet in my opinion, achieves everything music should.
