  1. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer, are you? that phrasing was a joke! notice the exaggerated punctuation '?!?'. get it? why does everyone get so whiny when someone doesn't like a williams score? do you even know why half the people here visit this site? i'll tell you why. not for their love of what williams can pull out of his G-rated ass, but because it's good for getting trades set up. this place has more members than any other site like this. but it has another thing that's not so good. people who don't know a joke when they see one! i wasn't joking about william's screwed up score to Jaws. that was my opinion. however, that's what it is: an opinion. in MY OPINION, the Oscar was in no way deserved. his score fit the film about like rosenman's Robo 2. but seeing as how i'm wasting my fingers' time with people who have no clue what would fit because they're so obsessed with the happy-happy-joy-joy CRAP that williams is so fond of, i've just got one more thing to say. i AM NOT a fan of Hans Zimmer. i'm more partial to Professor Farnsworth's work than Zimmer's. oh, and spelling correction's on 'Pippi'. sorry dude, but damn. that's scary. damn.
  2. Yeah, same applies to the battle of Hoth music in TESB,what was Williams thinking... K.M. hey buddy! are you trying to make fun of me?!? i think you are. lemme tell you now that that music from Empire does fit but the music from Jaws sucks out loud. the Jaws 'theme' is merely an ostinatto and has no real melodic body. that's really not that bad because at least it had the right kind of energy but the barrel chase sounded like something you might find in Pippy Longstocking or some softcore porno movie. nothing like an action score cue. they should have someone rescore Jaws.
  3. i believe i would ask Williams why his music for the barrel chase in Jaws sucks so much. it doesn't even fit the scene it was written for. his music really dragged the movie down. we'd better write John Williams a dear john.
