No Star Wars,no Spielberg,no John Williams.This summer sucks.I don't give a crap.
How can the Superman Returns trailer NOT get your blood pumping?

In Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back Vader is pure evil and a great villian.
In Jedi and the prequels he is a wimpy whiny soft character. Poor decision by Lucas to transform him into a sympathetic character
Empire started it over, even if it the 'perfect' Star wars movie.
'Pleeeeeease Luke, join me, i want my little sonny to rule with me'
Bah!
I don't know about anyone else but I agree completly with Luke. Vader is totally wimpy in Empire.

It's quite simple. Please note that it is the show that is CURRENTLY on TV. I.E. Classics Simpsons don't count.
Justin - Who'd have to say Family Guy.

People are actually putting some effort into their posts.
Away with it!

You people always have to do things your own way, don't you? You can't be like the rest of the world who do it D-M-Y.
I'm sure people were saying much the same things in the late 1700's. "You people always have to do things your own way, don't you? You can't be like the rest of the world and have a king can you?"
I'll put the censored month first because I'm free to do so!

Joe is the glue that keeps this engine going, young fella'.

In further reports Zimmer was unable to fall into the cookie dough vat by himself but required assistance from Rupert Gregson-Williams, Gavin Greenway, Nick Glennie-Smith, and Adam Smalley.

Shaun of The Dead. This is, in some ways, one of the best films ever made. The synthesis of horror and humor is so intelligently done that you leave the film simply floored.

Well at least Gladiator has some of the most stunning orchestral dramatic stuff Zimmer has ever done (with Hannibal).
Isnt the dramatic stuff (sorrow theme?) composed by Lisa Gerrad?
The two best cues of the entire score were written entirely by Zimmer. (Patricide, Am I Not Merciful?)

Now Ross will have to watch a Star Trek movie.
Excellent.

I think the film is a very entertaining 2 hours.

God, how I love Jurassic Park...I never get tired of watching it.
Don't you play with Lego's too?
Justin

I won't believe this until I'm in the theater watching it.
However, I believe it more now that I've seen it here which is a much more reliable site, IMO.
Justin - Who is still skeptical since one script was already rejected.

Joel McNeely and the RSNO's recording is fantastic. I think the "Prelude" is much more powerful than the original version.

I actually enjoy most of the score on the album. Simplistic yet, it definatly has some catchy melodies.

alien 3 - adagio - I dont know why this score gets so crappy reviews
alien 3 - lento - the "funeral" part
Alien3 is probably in my top 20 favorite score of all time. The last 20 minutes of music in the film is simple perfection.
I'd also like to add Patrick Doyle's opening and closing pieces from Carlito's Way. Totally heartwrenching.

I think a defining characteristic of being a John Williams snob is thinking that you aren't one.

I'm sure the British version of The Office is terrific, from what I've heard about it. I've just seen the American version, which is gut-wrenchingly hilarious in such perfectly subtle ways. Plus, it has a nice touch of real heart with the Jim/Pam storyline. I'm genuinely curious, does/did the British show have anything besides straight comedy?
Ray Barnsbury
EDIT:
And I caught myself drawn to the unspoken romance plotNever mind, I guess the British version does have that little dramatic aspect too.
Ray Barnsbury
The Brittish versions have far more underlying drama to them than the American version, that I have seen. The main bosses character also has a wonderful arc.

The american office is very funny the biggest tragedy is that the bosses character (now called Michael Scott) is basically one dimensional.
Have you seen the christmas specials?

I haven't been to a Chucky Cheese since 1984.
Sounds like a visit is in order.
Don't forget to take the kiddies.

"Becoming a Geisha", from Memoirs of a Geisha.
Indeed. Really spectacular.

Or you could skip both and blow your savings on Chucky Cheese tokens.
