Okay, just making sure. At least my DCC LP is still safe in New Jersey.

I say bring on the JWFan interview to enlighten us.
I'd love to interview him for the site. I don't know how to get in touch with him. Concord didn't return my calls and I couldn't find him on a site like Facebook.
And is "Marion in the Pit" on the leak? I don't have it if it was. And the term "fake leak" is as bad as "legit boot", which I've seen tossed around here from time to time.

The show died with Phil Hartman.

Hm. So, if I interpreted this revelation correctly:
There is one cue entitled "Indy Rides the Statue" (which we will receive on the Box Set) which is shown in Neil's video. However, in the film, there was a tracked opening to the cue, from "Airplane Fight". Is this correct?
No. "Airplane Fight" is tracked when the statue falls over. Indy climbing the statue in the film is the alternate opening to "Indy Rides The Statue" (or whatever it's called, I'm sure Henry can provide the correct name).
Neil

So really there is no "Mummy Cave". It's just "Indy Rides the Statue" and then an alternate for the opening of this cue. Now it all makes sense to me.
Neil
-
Neil - the tracklist suggests that it's the 1 minute alternate, but the "Mummy Cave" is 2:05, right?
So how long was it on the leaked version - 3 minutes (including "Indy Rides The Statue" and "Mummy Cave")?
Sounds like someone will need to pose another question to Jeff on the Intrada boards...
It runs 2:09 on the leak. My video is about 1:58 since I didn't have the following chapter from the video, but from that point, it doesn't matter.
I think what everyone has been calling "The Mummy Cave" is one complete cue, starting with Indy climbing the statue and then toppling it and then Marion climbing out of the rubble to be confronted by the skeletons.
Neil

I guess so. I don't have the official release yet. Was this confirmed at Intrada?

Leaked Concord:Indy rides the Statue original version
Wait, a track on the separate Raiders release is not going to be on the box set?
Apparently.
The leaked "Raiders" prototype featured the Original "Indy Rides The Statue" (I think that's what Neil used on his YouTube video - right Neil?)
The new one seems to include the shorter "Alternate" version.
But both releases don't included "The Mummy Cave". So where did you get it, Neil?
I used the leaked version for the whole thing.

For those curious, here's a video I made using "Indy Rides the Statue".

I take it you've cancelled your order (if you placed one)?
Amazon seems to have done that for us.

JW and Bouzereau made some exciting editing decisions which we just have to live with.
Exciting is hardly the word I would choose.

Of course, Williams' involvement explains the lack of unreleased Kingdom music in this set. When asked whether he wants to release anything else from that score, he probably said "77 minutes was too much as it is".
I'm sure that decision was made by the extra re-use fees and because it's so new.
Yes, of course the extra music is nice and most welcomed, but shortened "Desert Chase"? Really? An album edit on an expanded release?
Neil

Williams probably decided none of the music is worth releasing.

We are all fine up here, yes, we are all fine up here.
If that was an attempt to quote Raiders...

Take a break from the board for 2 hours and watch the movie and you'll stop being confused.

I'm sorry but the helicopter sequence on the FSM box is much improved over Rhino.
I'm not sorry that it's better.

It's frustrating. An uncut "Desert Chase" and the cue where Marion is thrown into the well totals about 70 extra seconds spread out across 2 discs. Both have even been released before. They should be on here. I know there are political decisions to be made, but I don't see how that can apply to material that has already been released, unless somehow the materials for these tracks couldn't be found. That would be a tragedy.

Correction: previously released music
Neil
Sounds an even more idiotic exclusion when you put it that way.
I do put it that way.
Neil

...would it have killed them to include the 40 seconds of unreleased music from Desert Chase?
Correction: previously released music

Not only that (and no slight towards Jeff) but you have to have a first time for everything. I called and left two voice mails identifying who I was and why I was calling. "Review sample" was never uttered by me I just wanted some details about the set. I was given the name of the person to talk to, and he never returned my calls. I'm not impressed with the way this person or the way he represented Concord. Now I'm reading this advance news about the set. I hope it's good, but things aren't impressing me about. The album edit of "Desert Chase"? How did that still get on there?
I've written several things for this site and I'm an informed voice as far as this set is concerned.Neil
No disrespect, but you're saying that as the person who insisted only disc 5 would have additional music.
That's not what I meant. In fact, I was calling them to find out what was on disc 5, if you must know. They never returned my calls. I was leaving professional voice mails and I guess I wasn't worth their time.

I'd love to know who he talked to. No one at Concord would return my calls about getting a review sample.

I'll stick with the DCC and use the Concord to fill in the small sections.
