I can't vote here (I've got neither Patriot nor Nixon--my collection is still small), but as for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, I love it. I might suggest this thematic analysis. The first time I read it, I was amazed by how many themes and musical ideas I had just been completely missing.
