While helping Katie back to her cabin in the woods, Banner is surprised to see a meteor land nearby. While he investigates the crash site, he is attacked by a swarm of bees, which causes him to change into the Hulk. While trying to fight off the bees, the Hulk touches the meteor rock. Returning to Katie’s cabin, the Hulk begins to change back into Banner but is surprised to discover that the metamorphosis stops midway, leaving him with some of the Hulk’s irradiated features and personality along with the ability to speak and a fraction of his own intellect. Captured by the military, Katie and Banner are taken to a military installation along with the meteorite, where a group of scientists working for the Prometheus Project mistakenly assume that Banner is an alien because of his current physical and mental state. Katie helps him to realize that his proximity to the meteorite is preventing him from completing his change and they must both escape from the installation if they are to survive. PROMETHEUS was a creative high water mark for the show, featuring amazingly high production values, incorporating helicopters shooting from multiple cameras. Even the orchestra was larger than usual, augmented to 40 players, far larger than the usual orchestra size for television scores produced at the time. Chuck Cirino did not start his career as a composer, but rather as a programmer in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania for a Public Access cable TV station, where he learned how to create TV shows by himself, without a crew. In his spare time, he experimented with the station’s video equipment and created a series of genre productions that allowed him the opportunity to learn how to incorporate special effects into his work. After relocating to California, Cirino transitioned into directing high-end special effects television commercials. His first work as composer was for the 1980 cult film GYPSY ANGELS, which starred Vanna White and Richard Roundtree. Since then he has scored films for Roger Corman, directed music videos for bands like Earth, Wind & Fire and The Dickies’ KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE, and has recorded over 40 music soundtracks for feature films like SORCERESS, RETURN OF THE SWAMP THING, HARD TO DIE, TRANSYLVANIA TWIST, and many others. Cirino has worked as a producer, director, filmmaker, videographer, animator, special effects technician, editor, and composer. Best known for the famous theme music for HAWAII FIVE-0, for which he won two Emmys, Stevens contributed music to many television shows, including GUNSMOKE, POLICE WOMAN, THRILLER, WAGON TRAIN, JAKE AND THE FATMAN THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E., CIMARRON STRIP, THE WILD WILD WEST, TINY TOON ADVENTURES. Picking up on story elements from that second season episode of THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN, a rogue splinter group of alien explorers, led by the evil Nedlick, here played by veteran actor John Saxon, have taken control of Sasquatch, played by Ted Cassidy of THE ADDAMS FAMILY fame and are forcing Sasquatch to steal elements necessary to construct a force field around their base camp in Mexico, in order to make it impregnable and allow the aliens to continue in their efforts to steal more of the Earth’s riches and resources for their own benefit. By the end of the first part of THE RETURN OF BIGFOOT, Steve Austin is near death, after being exposed to a lethal dose of radiation. Written and directed by William Brent Bell and starring Frankie Muniz (“Malcolm in the Middle”), the film tells the story of a group of teens who stumble upon a new video game called Stay Alive, detailing the grisly true story of a 17th century noblewoman known as "The Blood Countess." A chilling connection is made when the gamers are murdered in the same method as the character they played in the game. The “Stay Alive” score is a hybrid of electronic and orchestral recordings manipulated using Logic Pro sequencing software. The themes show a range of tone and purpose, including an agitated string line for “Kill” and a romantic and cinematic for “Countess” that features a piano melody. Each theme was recorded in many keys and different registers, recorded using aleatoric techniques where players randomly drifted in and out of tune and improvised. Multiple versions of the themes were recorded and manipulated during the composing-to-picture process and afterward, an additional unmanipulated orchestral recording was done to hold the score together and give it depth. “Stay Alive” revisits the composer’s talent for suspense films, adding to a repertoire that includes “Ghost Ship” and the upcoming thriller “The Woods.” Frizzell has written scores for a variety of genres, and has proven his musical talent and versatility. He recently completed work on “The Prizewinner of Defiance, Ohio,” starring Julianne Moore as the mother of ten who, in the 1950s, supported her family by writing jingles and entering them into contests. For that score, Frizzell teamed up with newgrass band Nickel Creek, whose latest album hit number one on Billboard’s Internet Sales and Independent Album charts.
