It isn't from "Soarin" is it?
Sorry, what is this?

No idea. I know it's not what I think it sounds like.
even though I don't know Goldsmith so much, I'd say it's him, but again I'm not sure.. i hope someone among the film music fans here, knows...

Does anyone know what music is this? is it from a movie or what? I'd appreciate the help...

Here's an 8 pages preview of a Concert Suite (arrangement) from Indianda Jones 4.
http://65.23.157.59/pdf/13249.pdf
Which reminds me: Did anyone get the new signature editions? (Indy 4 suite and Born on the 4th of July)
What is the Born on the 4th of July eventually? the end credits or something else too? Because I've already got the handwritten end credits, if it's something else i'd like to buy it..

The last 15 minutes of E.T.

here's the trailer of the first feature film I scored (Starring Steve Guttenberg and James Duval)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00eNVn0TQPg
I also scored the trailer (except for 0.25-0.33'' which is source music by another composer)

FYI - Sheet Music Plus has all of the new Signature Editions for sale on their site already. I just ordered some last night. They also added the brass/percussion version of Star Spangled Banner that JW performed at the World Series.
Almost forgot - Sheet Music Plus does offer the stand-alone score for purchase for all of the new ones, as well as piano reductions for Tango and Fiddler, so make sure to click on the right item.
KingPin did you order Born on the 4th of July? if yes, could you let us know what does it include when you receive it (e.g is it the end credits?)

FUNNY VOCAL TRIBUTE TO WILLIAMS:
I don't know if this has ever been posted here:
-
WOW! I'm Incredibly happy with both of those choices, especially Born on the Fourth of July - that's the one I've wanted for a few years now. Excellent!
I don't think that it will contain any new music apart from the End credits that are already circulating in the trading lists..

I wonder if there will be an edition with only the full score and not full score + parts which is so expensive!!

Take a look here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E:IT&ih=010
the auction is ending soon. I would bid myself but i was informed that it would cost $350 to ship to Greece! So, they ship only to USA.
If anyone is interested, and share afterwards in the trading community it would be great!!

I've recently finished my first professional job as a film composer and I'm very happy! It's the music for the horror film "Cornered!", starring Steve Guttenberg and James Duval.
You can see more info at http://www.corneredmovie.com/.
At the beginning you can listen to a small excerpt from the Main Titles music.
trailer coming soon..
Nice Alien3 vibe! Sounds like you used a real orchestra too amidst the electronics. Nice! congrats.
Thank you very much Fiery Angel. It's true that i was a bit inspired by Alien3.
I don't know if you meant that i really used a real orchestra but all the score is pc generated! So, it would be a great compliment if people thought we actually used a symphonic orchestra!

I saw the video in the link but does anyone know if we can download it from somewhere?

I am really impressed by the quality of everyone's works here. Here's my profile in myspace where you can listen to some compositions of mine:
I love the Chairman's Waltz inspired violin theme. If you send me the sheets and an audio file without violin solo, I will record it for you.
Thank you very much MSM! Although it's Schindler's List inspired! As you see i have already recorded it with a great Russian Violinist. But in the future, i'll keep you in mind..

Blake Neely's "Brothers & Sisters"
I didn't know Blake Neely worked on TV shows. Is there a release of his music for this show?
From what I know, no! I'm searching for it too. you can find on his site though 11 pieces I think..

Does anyone any sample libraries that contain percussion loops which resemble those that Thomas Newman uses in his film scores (e.g. American Beauty)?
(or even in urban TV scores like Blake Neely's "Brothers & Sisters")
Stylus RMX - especially the expansion Liquid Grooves
Thank you very much pi! I'll check them out..

I just uploaded in myspace page the piece for which the talk here! it was rejected eventually, and taken in from another composer.
This is the first version (without much percussion).
You can listen to it here:
It's the 2nd piece, "Chase to the cliff".
Hey cool music there, sounds good!
Thank you!

An update on this -
Apparently getting something from the Courage collection is like getting something from a museum. My friend Dan has only ever been able to "view" items from the collection.
I don't know about the photos but I just asked him to do everything within his power to get photocopies made of Superman 4 and that I'd pay for him to get them to me. They do have the complete score there, along with a a lot of other interesting things by Williams and Goldsmith. If he can succesfully get copies made of S4 then I think that will definately open the door to some of the other works there.
That would be excellent!!!!

I wanted to ask you Frosty if this score matches the Jaws Suite in The Spielberg/Williams collaboration cd..
Yes it does.
Thanks!

A member here was very kind to send me the mp3. Thanks again. It was indeed the concert arrangement. Too bad that it wasn't the end credits.. i didn't really like this arrangement in comparison to old Williams concert arrangemenets..
Help identifying a music theme from Star Wars documentary!
