Welll, I'll be seeing George at a conference in LA this summer, so I'll be sure to pass along all your comments. Frankly, I would just like an autograph.

Nice Gaussian distribution if we remove Neil's outlier. Wheee.....

May 25, 1977 was a great day in 43 theaters.
Happy birthday to the greatest one of all, the one that started it all and the one that will never be surpassed.
Neil
You don't think ESB is better?
-
Yes,especially if the "Harry's Wondrous World PoA Version" cut from the film is played.Maybe there will be an all orchestral Double Trouble too.
K.M.
That would be awesome. Come on, Buckbeak!
-
Be sure to remember what pieces make up the PoA suite! Or record it!
Ray Barnsbury
Yep! (the former)

This is worth a look. Williams always seems to rise above the movie...
Gyahahaha! Myahahaha!

That's a pretty badly written review. You can't expect to use personal attacks and sensationalism and still be taken seriously.

I'll be going tomorrow. Class field trip!
At the Friday concert last year we saw such a field trip. Titchy little things don't know how lucky they are.

I stay for the credits for highly anticipated films, as well as anything Williams has scored.

From the press release:
Bruce Hangen and the Boston Pops celebrate the music of John Williams, the most widely recognized film composer of all time, with a "Hooray for Hollywood" program on May 25, 26, 27, and 28 (all concerts at 8 p.m.). These concerts honor Williams' enduring legacy with music from throughout his unprecedented career, including selections from E.T., Jaws, Superman, Schindler's List, and Raiders of the Lost Ark, as well as a new suite from the latest Harry Potter film - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - and "Battle of the Heroes" from Mr. Williams' score to the eagerly anticipated Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The program opens with the Prelude and Fugue from Walton's Spitfire and selections from Shostakovich's score to The Gadlfy. The first half of the program concludes with the Boston Pops accompanying film clips from Charlie Chaplin's comedy classic Caught in a Cabaret with Milhaud's Le boeuf sur le toit.I'll be there Thursday night. Looking forward to it. I wouldn't mind doing without the ubiquitiously performed E.T. and Raiders, although BotH and POA more than make up for it. If Tamara is doing Schindler's, then all the better. Anyone else going?
Also lamenting that Williams is not conducting, and the lost potential of a Boston JWFan Meetup.

My dad, aunt, and uncles saw all the OT films opening day when they were kids. They're not so much fans now, though. I don't blame them. I have a cousin-in-law who's obsessed.

Duel from ESB by far. I really like the TPM duel too, I think the thirty seconds after Obi-Wan is released from the laser corridor is really nice.

Pretty bad review.

"Here's where the fun begins."
"I can feel your anger."
-
Regarding Vader's line, I always took it to mean"You were right to think that there was good in me."
Ray Barnsbury
Yeah, that's what I've always thought as well.
-
That was one of the best weekends ever. I hope we can do it next year.
-
Preliminary totals for Friday's gross is $35.5 million according to boxofficemojo.

Is this a Neil joke?

Rebel Assault II is better.
-
When was it in TPM and AOTC?

And of course, according to RotS, Anakin never learned how to become one with the Force. Therefor, he could not appear as a Force ghost in RotJ. Not as an old man, nor as his younger self.
Qui Gon learned it himself after death. Therefore so could Anakin. Especially as Qui Gon, Kenobi, and Yoda were waiting to help him through the transformation.
Yes, that is the key.

Yes, you've got it right. In addition, it underscores Padme's funeral procession as well.

Revenge of The Sith
Phantom Menace
Attack of The Clones
Return of The Jedi
A New Hope
Empire Strikes Back

zero credibility, there is no way anyone can take anything you say seriously
Uhmm... I was being serious =
Yep. If you have an opinion different from Joe's, he will just say your opinion is wrong.
