  1. I think that 2008 set was intended for people who never owned any of the previous releases since that is the one I got when I re-experienced the Indiana Jones movies after haven't seen them in years. It was good to listen to the score and recall every scene and the previously unreleased tracks were a fair treat.

  2. I'm kind of thinking that the track lists are a hoax, I mean they aren't John Williams-ish. Most of these look like a Giacchino or Summer track titles. And most of Williams scores has about 15-19 tracks and not usually a little over 20. The only score I can think that has more than that is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and the LA LA Land Home Alone release.

  3. I just saw the movie on Pay per view and I had the same nostalig moments for LOTR. I really don't mind the referencing from LOTR I had the same feelings for seeing the Prequel Star Wars films after seeing the Original Trilogy and now I'm doing the same for The Hobbit trilogy.

And for Azog, I think he is a good villan I have a feeling this is not the last time we will see him and that he will be in the Battle of the Five Armies.

I really enjoyed the film. the only thing bothered me in the film was the CGI kites and Smaug at the end. And I could of sworn I saw a scene where Bilbo saw the shards of Narsil in Rivendell in the trailer for the film.

I also liked the part when Thorin is almost killed by Azog. I had a flashback of Boromir getting pierced by the arrows in FOTR and I first I thought they would kill of Thorin and like deviate and change what happens in the next film, that wasn't what scared me but I was scared for Thorin I really thought he was a goner and I'm like someone please help him! and then Bilbo being the hero he is stops that dick head Azog whos boss.

Radaghast well to me he kind of reminds me of some character rejected from The Chronicles of Narnia but I neither like or hate him. I think he might have a huger role in the next two films, just like how the Boromir/Faramir plot line had a larger role in the LOTR trilogy (unlike the books where Faramir wasn't that much of a large character)

Who knows what characters PJ would introduce in DOS and TABA, maybe someone in the books who didn't have a chance to appear like Bombadil or even some evil creatures like the Barrow-Wights. Speaking of the barrow-wights the necromancer that appeared in Dol Guldor that is how I picture the Barrow Wights in the books

Overall I think everyone did a good job on this film.

  4. John Williams and Howard Shore are the same guy. Kinda like Bruce Wayne and Superman.

    Wait a minute...

No wonder I immediately liked the LOTR score :)

No, you fool! It is forbidden to like both Shore's LOTR and Williams music! They are mutually exclusive! Liking one will force the other to delete itself from your iPod and the discs to sell themselves on Half!

actually I have both Shore's LOTR and WIlliams's Star Wars, Harry Potter and Indiana Jones on my mp3 and I'm not deleting them so you fail :)

  5. why did the people at Lucasfilm get pissed off at Sony classical?

Because the Episode I Ultimate Edition was "Supposently a Complete Score" which was misleading so Sony was going to make one for Episode II

I didn't read about any video game release containing tons of unreleased Episode 3 music. Is that buried in the Prequel resource thread?

I think that new Star Wars game has more Episode III music

  6. and maybe music for the first 2 Harry Potter films

You didn't by some chance miss the leak of the SS recording sessions?

Yeah I do have that. But I meant an Official Product. I'm not too much of a fan of Fan made Albums unless it has no SFX like the SS Recording Sessions

Supposedly, Lucasfilm was "seriously considering" releasing the [complete] prequel scores. I guess they didn't consider it seriously enough.

I heard of back in 2002 A Ultimate Edition to Episode II was suppose to be released but the people at Lucasfilm LTD got pissed off at Sony Classical so they never actually released one -___-

  7. you think that the Prequel Trilogy would had the same respect like the Prequels but No! its been a decade since Episode I was released and still no complete score

I'm still good with the Ultimate Edition. Although I'm mainly looking for an expanded release for Episode II and III

and maybe music for the first 2 Harry Potter films

  8. Sony Classical is really misleading a ripping people off. Just for once can we get a pretty decent Prequel Trilogy soundtrack?

Like the Corelllian Edition / Star Wars Trilogy box set that came out in 2008. They just can't stop re-issuing the same Album that was released back in 2004/1997 or whatever.

Lets see what LA LA Land has in store for Star Wars :lick:
