  1. btw I spotted Sleepers in the store too. Now I'm even more in a quandary. Shall I buy that, Skywalker Symphony or Chamber of Secrets?

I would buy Sleepers. For me it's the best of those three. I think he really wrote a wonderful score for that movie.

thks for the suggestion, but i'm still a bit hesistant. on one hand, i have never heard Sleepers on album, but have watched the movie. I think I would like the football game bit and some bits towards the end. not sure about the other bits though. on the other hand, scores like these dont come by easily here, so i'm itching for it, on the third hand, its about the money. hehe.

  2. its the columbia reprint, the same one TimeafterTime mentioned going on ebay. the shop was really old world but had a relatively large amount of soundtracks (obviously hardly anyone actually rummaged through them). i literally had to blow the dust off the plastic wrapping of Reivers. :) i dont think their selections are very up to date though, the latest score was GoF and the 2d latest Minority Report.

  3. as long as I can remember, I've always been familiar with the SW music (even cues like Chopping off Luke's Hand), Indy music, Superman, ET and Jaws and always knew that Spielberg, Lucas (right, shoot me if u wish) and Williams were the dream team. :)

I was a late buyer though. I used to just drool and ogle at whatever miniscule stock of scores shops have in my country. My first scores (I bought them at one go) were TPM, ET, AOTC

  4. lucky ppl, i've never seen Jaws, the three Indy scores, Far and Away (something I'd GRAB off a shelf if i ever see it), Superman, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List or just about every other JW score you all have mentioned (with the exception of the Potter scores, the SW scores, ET, MoAG, Munich, Rosewood) being sold here. :) *goes off into a corner and cries*

anyway I'd throw in my vote for Far and Away, ET, The Terminal or Jurrassic Park for now

Burga - who owns less JW scores than JWFangirl (at least original ones). CDs are expensive here, relative to earning power. *goes off into another corner and cries again*

  5. So we're from Thank you to Thanks to Thanx to Thnx to Thx to TY?

    Someone's just being lazy.

    - Marc, :D

You missed thks and tq. :D

No i doubt many people are thirteen I am just VERY unique.

    Yes the concert in april

AND THAnK YOU ITS GLAD 2 BE HERE!

I'm guessing you would be fourteen this year? Same age as my little bro' (who appreciates film music but isnt much into music of any type). If I may, how did you come by John Williams? :)

Burga - who has known who John Williams was as long as he has known who Spielberg and Lucas were, which was too early in his years to remember. Thus ruining almost every chance he has had of ever warming up to 'normal' music :P

PS: JWFangirl, you are very lucky to be able to attend his concert...JW never comes to my part of the world. :(

  6. I dont understand the complaining about the Throne Room on the ROTS cd. its a great piece, and a terrific celebratory 'its all finally over' goodbye to the series.

If Lucas wants us to view "ROTS" as the end of the series, then the end credits music is appropriate (almost). But he wants it to be viewed as No. 3 of 6. So why are we "celebrating?" The Empire is formed. The galaxy status quo is in upheaval. Padme died. Anakin lost his love and his legs and his arms and his ability to function without scuba gear equipment.

So why put in such a celebratory theme if we're transitioning to what Obi-wan called "the dark times?"

It doesnt appear in the movie, so Lucas' view of ROTS as part 3 of 6 is achieved. However, who's to say Johnny couldnt have some fun with his final SW CD? He's earned it
