  1. Yes. Episode 4, not 5. It is a melody, I just wanted to avoid calling it theme or motive. It's about 13 notes long if you count the little "embellishments".
  2. I've decided that the Rebel Fanfare is a motive, but...the Imperial "theme". Is it a theme or motive? Michael calls it a theme every time he mentions it in the EpIV liners, but it is no longer than the Rebel Fanfare, and no more melodic. I'm just one of those people who likes to categorize things. Black and White. Not Grey. (Nothing racial, of course.)
  3. Is the Rebel Fanfare in epI and II (not counting the end credits)? Is it only at the beginning of III (not counting e.c.)? So, the Rebel Fanfare is more motivic than thematic...? And, the Imperial "theme" is more...thematic...or motivic? WAH!! I just wanna straight answer before I go nuts! Okay not really.
  4. Heyya. Is the Rebel Fanfare considered to be a theme or a motive? What about the epIV Imperial "theme"? Is it a theme or a motive? I can't decide which because they sound inbetween a motive and a theme. oh well. thanks guys!
  5. Are all of the little missing bits on the Anthology? What's the RCA editions?
  6. Hey, I'm new here. My questions: Do the '97 edition releases of the OT scores have all the music for each OT film (except Lapti Nek and the original Ewok celebration) ? What does the Anthology have? Does it have anything that the '97 releases don't have (except L.N. and original E.C.) ? I have the '97 releases. Is there anything missing that I would want (aside from L.N. and E.C. ) ? Thanks, guys and gals.
