Gareth Edwards, of recent Godzilla fame, to direct one of the Star Wars spinoff movies.

Does anyone know if Fox is planning on connecting their X-Men movies with their Fantastic Four movies, and other upcoming films? As of a few days ago, they had these films planned: 2015 Aug 7 Fantastic Four 2016 Feb 12 Deadpool May 27 X-Men Apocalypse 2017 March 3 Wolverine 3 July 14 Fantastic Four 2 2018 July 13 X-Men 8 Unscheduled X-Force Gambit Well yesterday Fox announced some new plans, namely: Gambit is coming October 7, 2016, starring Channing Tatum (Gambit was previously played by Taylor Kitsch in X-Men Origins: Wolverine) Fantastic Four 2 was moved up a few months to June 2 2017 It's interesting that in the "main" Marvel universe, Disney has been sure to keep all the characters played by the same actors through. Meanwhile at Fox, they've recast Gambit, Jubilee, and Kitty Pryde, among other smaller roles, and have messed with timelines and rebooting a bunch of things. It doesn't seem like Disney Marvel will be doing that any time soon, though their universe is a lot younger than Fox's which started in 2000, eight years before Iron Man kicked off Marvel's own verse!
