#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
Actually Air Force One sounds like First Contact.
Justin 2
Other than the obvious winners (Star Trek Fanfare by Courage and Star Trek: The Motion Picture by Goldsmith) Yes, I'd say First Contact is up there.Justin - Who'd put Wrath of the Kahn and JG's Klingon Theme just above FC and Undiscovered Country just below. John Crichton 4
Pretty much what Justin said, but I'd put Ilia's Theme above Undiscovered Country.
Justin 2
Oh yeah. I forgot about that one. Basically everything in TMP is above anything else. Justin
Hitch 57
Star Trek: Voyager theme by Jerry Goldsmith. I'll never get to hear his 240 hour suite now which is a shame, but I'm sure it's in the archives somewhere here at Paramount.Hitch who loves Ilia's Theme as well as Ilia. Cor-Blimey! Morlock 11
I agree with all the above. Except I'd rate Undiscovered Country above FC.
scissorhands 16
"Home Again" from "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home", composed by Leonard Rosenman, a clon of his own "Riders of Rohan" from "The Lord of the Rings"
Morlock 11
But a very good clon at that.
Justin 2
I've always found the Trek IV score to be a guilty pleasure. Justin
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
I consider Robocop II and Rosenman's Lord Of The Rings to be guilty pleasures, but his trek score is not even good, or bad enough to qualify for that.
Lurker 5
I've always found the Trek IV score to be a guilty pleasure. JustinIt was Oscar nominated.Neil
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
So was The Patriot.
Lurker 5
It was the best John Williams score of 2000, hands down! He gets nominated every year, so of course that was nominated. Trek IV is a fun energetic score that fits perfectly with the movie. It would not work well with heavier material like TWOK or TSFS but for Trek IV it's just right.Neil
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
It's not oscarworthy, or oscar nomination worthy.Of course neither was Aliens, I guess 1986 was just a poor year for film scores.
