  1. For anyone who watched the SAG awards tonight: Do any of you know what score the music they played during that remembrance of actors clip was from?
  2. Does anyone know what James Bond scores the music that plays on the official Casino Royale website and the trailer is from? Also, I don't own any James Bond scores. Anyone have any good suggestions?(you can include compialations and re-recordings as well as scores)
  3. My copy that I ordered from amazon.co.uk came today! And, yes, it's the 2 disc one with the 31 page booklet, so I'm glad it wasn't a mistake at amazon because, like I said before, I thought these CDs were gone and you could only get them off of ebay. I'm listeneing to it right now and it's a great score and it's a great release as well. I'm very happy to have this in my collection now!!! Also, the delivery was very fast considering I live in the US. I ordered it on April 27 (Thursday) and it came today, May 1 (Monday).
  4. Just bought it!!!! Very excited....
  5. I've heard that this CD is out of print, but it looks like they are selling it at amazon.co.uk. Am I mistaken? Here's the link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B...2613785-5012454
  6. I agree with gkgyver. I think the "stone" theme is in fact a "Voldemort mystery" theme. In COS, the chamber is connected with Voldemort, as is the stone in PS (in a way). And, they are both mysteries obviously. I can see where you are going nightscape. This could definately be an excuse for a bad decission. But, if the "stone" theme is in fact a "Voldemort mystery" theme, then it is appropriate for COS and that is why it was used again in COS. Then again, it could just have been a bad decission. We don't really know. I am also disappointed that the chamber theme wasn't used more often in the movie (especially when the entrance to the chamber was discovered and when Harry entered the chamber itself).
  7. Couldn't the "stone theme" be considered as an overall "mystery theme?" In SS, the main mystery of the movie is the stone, and the kids are trying to find out more about it throughout the whole movie. Same thing for COS. The chamber was the main mystery and the kids tried to figure out more about it throughout the whole movie. For the cases where it is involved with Voldermort, Voldermort is a mystery to Harry Potter and, as is evident throughout the series, Harry learns more and more about the mystery of Voldemort every year. Obviously, Voldemort already has two themes, so I doubt that this theme is a theme just for him. So, I think if this is in fact a "mystery theme," it works well in both movies. Of course, I am not an expert on this kind of thing, but this is just my personal opinion.
  8. I'm also curious if anyone was able to meet him that night. I waited around for a little bit, but nothing was happening and I had to catch my train. When we left, we saw some limos waiting out front and they might have been for him, but I'm not sure.
  9. This was an AMAZING concert!!!! I LOVED every second of it! It was awesome to see John Williams and Steven Speilburg themselves on stage together!
  10. I'll be attending this concert. Can't wait!!!!!!
  11. I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but John Williams has been very recently removed from the Order of the Phoenix project completely on IMDB. I know that IMDB isn't exactly the most reliable resource, but I thought you might want to know.
  12. Could I get a PM as well? I would greatly appreciate it!
  13. Happy Birthday John Williams! You are truly the master of film music. Best wishes and good luck tonight and in years to come.
  14. I don't know if this has been addressed yet, but is John Williams scoring The Secret Life of Walter Mitty? On Soundtrack.net in John Williams' profile, it says that he is. I don't know if this is true or not, because I haven't heard much talk about it. -Jon
