Music Box Records will be releasing the complete score to Good Will Hunting in 2014
This is it! We have fixed all legal issues.
The coming CD album will contain the five songs by Elliott Smith (including "Miss Misery") and the complete original score composed by Danny Elfman. We will also include more cues than the FYC Promotional CD.
The album will likely be released in 2014.

According to Music Box Records' Facebook page, it's "coming soon"
- Our American title will feature the music for an intimate drama about the hardships of facing your own true self and realizing your full potential. The work of two upcoming screenwriters, this film took the awards circuit by surprise and we're really proud to premiere the complete score, including five songs also featured on the soundtrack.absolutely love that score.

WRONG!
Just check my very first thread on this forum (well, second if you count my presentation thread): http://www.jwfan.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19157
damn! at first I was like: "who IS that?"... and then the capsing began.
back to the topic! can someone recommend me a fun and upbeat score? some serious kitchen magic going on! and if I listen to ratatouille or httyd one more time...

How is it Alice? I am really intrigued as this has flown completely under the radar for me. I am always happy to see David Newman scoring a new film.
now that I've listened to it I guess I'd say it's a fairly well-composed score with a few highly enjoyable and majestic moments here and there but it doesn't really... stand out. shame!
To the Library and Beyond (Matilda)
hehe... now we're talking!
now that HAS to be a first for you.

I wonder if this has something to do with age, and a generation issue. After all, the Ring films were released 10-13 years ago. When I see a comment like the one above, that you can imagine this song over the credits, then I think it must be an age thing because I can't.
If you ever sat in a cinema 11 years ago and felt the magic of Gollum's Song playing over the final shots of Two Towers, you can't imagine some corny guitar twanging over this film. It's a night/day difference.
like there isn't a night/day difference between these and the ring films! how can you be surprised by corniness after having seen AUJ? this ain't gonna be the next über-trilogy, man! get with it.
and no, of course it isn't an age thing.

Yea, seriously... It's great!
on its own or do you also think it's a great end credits song for this film?
His album on the other hand... boring pop dreck.
no way, man! give me love is great.
-
aaaah! I want it now.
also, cheekbones. cheekbones overload.

I'm a sheeran fan and I'm definitely liking the song on its own quite a lot. does it feel middle-earthy? no. did I expect otherwise? no. am I gonna play this on repeat today? yes!
It's instantly my favorite of the 5 LOTR/TH songs so far!
wow! seriously?
Its no In Dreams!
