I had the same problem with the Bioshock games, they tend to tell the story while putting the player in harms' way more often than not.
While an awesome experience the first time around, the plot became hard too follow after a while.
Especially Infinite had me scratching my head multiple times (even during playthrough number two). But that's probably due to the complexity of the story itself.

Hey have you never had a change of opinion on something?
I was critiquing the campaign's story, which I admitted in that post above went completely over my head. I have a hard time sometimes following the story when I have to run and gun at the same time.
Quintus knows that when the action ramps up in Halo, there's hardly a moment's peace. And during the combat-free moments I was a bit lost anyway so it all became a blur.
Now I'm going through it the second time, I know what to expect action wise and can focus on the story more.
I agree Heroic is the most fun difficulty of all 4 in a Halo title. Legendary can be more work than play.
The easy setting was just to experience it once I guess... (not to be repeated)

Going through the Halo 5 campaign again, and it's a lot more engaging this time, after my initial disappointment. Halo 5's becoming sort of alright fast.
Visually it certainly is spectacular. And I'm now getting more into its storyline, which I must admit on my first playthrough flew over my head.
Confession: this was the first Halo game I ever played on the easiest setting. It becomes so easy it's boring.
Also on the Xbox One I'm currently on The Walking Dead season 1 (which is free with Games with Gold until 15 november).
I'm impressed by the rich storytelling and choice- and adventure-based gameplay.
It makes for a much more laid-back experience, but all hell can break loose in a micro-second, just like it does in the TV series.
There are some characters to root for and others not, but it's not all black or white. I'm sure the characters will develop into something more complex with each episode / season.

Yes, his voice isn't what it used to be. This was apparent from the concert blu-ray from last year (Appetite for Democracy).

I don't see this happen to be honest. It would be the coolest thing since the invention of electricity but I can't see all those ego's working together again.
-
Well it makes sense in the film, supporting that scene. You've seen it?

Not a fan of rock I take it?
I love both versions.

This adaptation does not suck in the slightest.

Maybe it's that actress way of supporting her country, which is now financially ruined. To attract investors?
Edit: I now see she's canadian.

They could orchestrate the major cues (which already exist) for key events in the game and use HQ synth recreations for the minor cues. I'd be okay with that, especially as sometimes I can't tell whether real instruments are used or not (like with Jeremy Soule for example).

Well that must blow ! Thousands and thousands of inferior films you must sit through...

Inception is my favorite Nolan, and I enjoy TDKR a lot too.
And who here enjoys the score (album)? It's my guilty pleasure.

My next game is Divinity: Original Sin The Enhanced Edition
It's a classic top-down, turn based RPG. I'm surprised the nostalgic gamers here haven't heard of it
All I know about it is it's developed in my country.
And that it's quite popular with die-hard RPG fans.

Man are your standards really that high?
Inglourious Basterds is what I'd call a really good movie... Flawless even... Entertaining, witty, original, and with standout performances.

Being a score to a book that is now discounted or has Shadows escaped the purge?
It hasn't, as far as I know.
Whatever the case, it's brilliant and exciting music and McNeely's best composition. In those days I wanted him to do TPM if Williams would've been unable to.

All I see is a cross-dresser.

Halo 5: Guardians (Kazuma Jinnouchi)
He did one track for Halo 4, which was awesome (117). I'm now listening to the first disc of the H5 soundtrack and it just doesn't do much for me... The emotional link that Marty O'Donnell established so well with his themes is now forever gone. Sure, there are some hints in a couple of cues, but the rest is just generic, background scoring. Seems to me the tracks that have an orchestral element do at least try to stir up some excitement, but those are few and far between. I've yet to listen to the rest of the soundtrack, but as it is there's not much to love here. It's just not Halo music. And there's just no consistency. Now I wish 343 would've continued on the path that Neil Davidge laid out. At least he wrote a consistently great soundtrack with the fourth one (IMO).
Here's one of the better cues (for the introduction):

No, Koray will say it's the first comedy ever that enters his movies all time 100.
I, OTOH, will say that QT should retire.
Steef will not watch it because it's a Western.
Everybody knows that it's an unwritten rule that comedies are always in 1.85:1. How will people, who watch this at home, gonna react to the enormous black bars that coincide with 70mm?
I'm frankly puzzled at the love people pour on Tarantino's work. Most of them are slick homages to B-movies (Kill Bill, Jackie Brown) and exploitation flicks (Death Proof)... and for some reason A-list actors like working with him. Stylish poses, artful cinematography, one-liners, copious gore and F-bombs do not make for great movies. Plus QT soured me with his recent "cops are killers" statement.
The Hateful Eight looks absolutely stunning, but I'm going to pass on it.
With Tarantino we still have a man like him that does totally his own thing without compromising to the studio system. For that alone he gets my utmost respect.
I own all of his films and there's not one I'd want to give away. He's a true visionary writer / director and the day he retires will be a huge loss for the film business.

You are the only American who liked the movie!
Nonsense ! There's at least one other american that likes Tintin (and creator Hergé). The man has said so on multiple occasions.

I like the Fallout series, it amazes me I've spent a ridiculous amount of hours in these worlds, but to say I want to return to another one now is stretching it. I've just completed New Vegas a few months ago.

Not when living in Europe from my experience... after shipping it does take a week, two at most for a package to arrive.
And I always get access to its tracking service, which almost always gives me a good indication when to expect it.
-
Still no shipping confirmation from Screen Archives. Has anyone else ordered there and not received their copies yet?
Ordered 22 october, still pending.
Could change very soon, however.

Well that was for the previous game (which I played on PC, so I can't comment on its performance on X360).
Like I said CD has only one consumer base to satisfy right now (for the time being).

You talk like you've seen it in action already. Crystal Dynamics had all this time to focus on one console, so it shouldn't run like shit. And I don't expect it will.
I want to play it, but as I'm into other stuff for the moment I'm in no hurry. Besides I'll want to play the original first again. On Xbox One this time.
What is the last video game you played?

Let's just say that it's a problem for me with lots of visually rich and action heavy games, I can only focus my attention on so much any given time.
About Halo 5, what I also miss in these latest installments... there's no sense of danger or creepiness in any of the levels. The Prometheans are a poor substitute for the Flood or the Brutes. Sure they can be challenging but the Flood, man they were everywhere and downright intense to fight, especially when they started ganging up on me. I miss that tension to be honest.
