I read it through with a good friend of mine who is a fantastic horn player, and it is absolutely breathtaking (pun intended). It is also getting to be quite popular in the horn community, and I predict it will secure a place for itself in the standard concerto repertoire, very much like the tuba concerto has done, and the bassoon concerto is beginning to.
