I saw the Imax Hubble 3D film a few years ago, and the composers, Mickey Erbe and Maribeth Solomon have been kind enough to put three tracks of the score on their website:

I really like this style of synth music (mainly the second two tracks) where it's based on interesting chord changes and not really addressing any specific emotion.

Similar stuff is heard in their score for Blue Planet, particularly the opening track.

Are there any other composers who do this sort of thing really well? I can imagine that there are non-film composes who put out albums of this type of music. Searches for 'ambient' on spotify tend to be less melodic and more textural.
