yorkey 0
Hello there! I wasn't sure where to go to to ask this, but I've been a lurker round these parts before so I thought I'd pop in and say howdy (even though I'm South African). Anyway, this is a very noob question so I hope you all don't mind, but what is the instrument that first plays in "The Portrait Gallery" from Prisoner of Azkaban? It's very medieval, isn't it? Anyway, I just wanted to know what that was. Thanks very much!
Incanus 5,716
I believe it is a recorder with brass and harpsichord accompaniment.
Jim Ware 526
It's a recorder, possibly played by Richard Harvey who was responsible for some of the more esoteric medieval instrumentation in Azkaban.
