Erik Woods 555
That's great! Thank you so much!~Harry, wondering how Erik knew thisChristopher Page composed music for British Audio Design which specializes in production music. At Hudson's Bay Company, where I work, we own one of his discs which contains that very cue. We used the cue for a "Super Hero Parody" video that we produced 4 years ago. I didn't realize until I bought The Rocketeer DVD that the music was composed specifically for that trailer. Anyway, here's a little bio on Christopher Page.-----Christopher Page was born in London, England and began his musical training at a very early age, studying composition, orchestration, conducting and performance at the Royal Academy of Music. He is credited with producing, writing and arranging for many well known film and television shows including; In the Heat of the Night, Columbo, Diagnosis Murder, Mission Impossible, and Perry Mason. Some of Christopher?s feature film credits include The Rocketeer, and The Arrival. Also Witness and Karate Kid 2 for sound design.Reecording sessions with Rosie Gaines, The O?Jays, and Michael Sembello are also part of Chris?s session history and part of his expansive musical career. -Erik-
Guest
What a great little track! when I first saw the Rocketeer trailer years back, I thought Horner had composed that piece and was sad when I got the CD and found that the melodic material was abscent (I saw the film long after buying the score). Kudos to Chris Page for coming up with such a memorable theme. Very talented.Speaking of great trailer music, does anyone dig the Goldsmith track for Judge Dredd? I recorded it onto cassette years back since it's a great kick ass piece of music. I think it's one of the few instances where he composed something specifically for a film trailer. Makes me wonder what an entire Judge Dredd score by Goldsmith would have been like. Alas, all we have is that one small cue, but what an exciting cue it is.Neil
